I had an awesome experience with LB wake & watersports. My girlfriend and I had no plans on Labor Day, so last minute we decided to go jet skiing. We didn't expect much considering we didn't make a reservation -- but they were able to squeeze us in. Since the group before us ran a bit late, they were running about 20 min behind, which was a little annoying but not their fault. All the employees were eating bagels and I half jokingly asked the gentlemen working there if I could have one since the group was running late ((and I felt myself getting hangry)) -- and he let me have one! Tip for single women - there were like 6 attractive men working that day. Lots of eye candy! I will come back for sure read more

Easy to understand and navigate website. I did all booking and payment online. Showed up to rent Jet Ski at reserved time. Pleasant check in process and within 15 minutes we were seated on our skis at the dock. Brief orientation and off we went. This is a simple follow the leader, 1 hour ride / tour. We went from Island Park out to Freeport then around and under the Loop Parkway bridge towards Jones Inlet, then back thru the cuts towards Island Park. The skis are definitely governed for slower speeds, and they appear well used, but they performed well. What makes this experience fun, is that there are no real rules or boundary's. Just follow the group leader, ride smart, safe and have fun. I highly recommend reservations on a Sunday, as I witnessed walk ins get turned away. They run a pretty tight and organized group schedule. read more

I booked a boat trip as a surprise for my nieces for Sunday morning at 10 am. Received a text at 9:30 that they needed to move time to 11am. Ok no big deal. Then at 10:30 another text they they needed to cancel. I asked if they had jet skies and was told yes, come at 11. Arrived at 11am only to be told they didn't have skies available until 12:30. Do disappointing since I booked a week early. Will never use them again. read more

This place was amazing. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They took their time explaining and breaking everything down to us. When you're jetskiing they send an instructor with you on his own jetski to follow around and keep an eye on you. Papito my instructor was great! I'm going back ASAP with an even bigger group! Bring Bug Spray! Bring Bug spray! they offer it to you for $10 when you walk in, but let me tell you...its worth the money. the bugs will eat you alive out there! If you dont want to spend the $10 bring your own! now that we have that important message out of the way... Unprofessional and rude. We were given incorrect pricing info over the phone. Upon calling back to confirm, they went back on their word in a rude and abrupt way. We still went ahead with a reservation, and realized that their confirmation booking email was completely incorrect with the wrong number of people and too high a total. Then, their liability waiver had typos all over it. Completely unprofessional. If you're doing business with a company who is renting out a piece of equipment that could kill you, you want to make sure that they have taken the time to write the waiver correctly. Everyone at this place is asleep at the switch. The managers quote to me over the phone was "it's like you're expecting us to be a fortune 500 company or something... I am visiting from Southern California and my friend took me here to rent jet skis. We had such a good time, the staff was super helpful and friendly. (good looking, too ) We followed a guide, Teddy, around the bay for an hour doing donuts and swerves, then cruised back to the dock. Definitely bring bug spray, the killer flies out here will eat you alive. Would definitely love to come back here on my next trip for some wake surfing! read more

LB Wake sure knows how to organize a jet ski Expedition! Our boat was in for repair and we had six people hoping to have some water fun. I called lb wake in Island Park and they were very ready to accommodate us. The guide took six of our guests on a one-hour fantastic trip through the marshes. Everyone felt very safe relaxed and excited! I would recommend this company again to anyone who wants to enjoy time on the water. LB you did a great job! read more

First off the jet skiing itself was amazing. Our guide was great and my girlfriend and I had an awesome time with him. Now the bad...we called the office and left messages a couple of times to use my gift card and no one responded. I texted the owner and never heard back. The guide was seemingly at the office by chance, not because they knew about our online reservation. Also, the property looks like a junkyard and my girlfriend badly scraped her leg on a rusty piece of metal protruding from a boat blocking the walkway. read more

My second time renting a jet ski at LB wake & was not as fun or should I say as safe as my first time.. First time I had a GREAT time, both instructors/guides were very attentive and made sure ALL were safe. The 2nd time we had a different guide in the back and I did not feel safe at all.. Unfortunately I was very behind the group because the water was very choppy & I was a little nervous, the Back guide (Papito) was so far in FRONT of me I could hardly see him, if I made a wrong turn or fell off he would not even see me.. It made me even more nervous that I could not enjoy the ride at all! I was afraid if I lost sight of him I would be lost & alone out there.. Also he seemed annoyed about waiting for me or staying behind with me.. I never write reviews but this experience made me so scared that I had to. The place is very fun & the other guides are great, just be careful if you have Papito as the back guide cause in my experience he is not as safe, attentive & friendly as the other guides were.. read more

Fantastic mini adventure! My three daughters and I rented a skiff for a full day. It was clean and well supplied with gas. Will is a sweetheart (and very handsome), he gave us a great tutorial and directions before we set out. We cruised to the AB Bridge, then docked for lunch at Jordan's (delicious seafood). Then we hit the opposite direction - Point Lookout. We swam, got tan, and just had an all around good family day. LB Wake offers a great service at a fair price, and they do it really well. read more

Went tubing!!! It was the most exhiliarating, FUN experience possible!! Try to book the reservation before the season is over this year! Worst Place!! STAY FAR AWAY! Staff is rude and the owner can care less about how they act and how he talks to customers. Be careful they charge crazy fees if the instructor who doesn't speak English has a problem with how u ride!!! WORST experience!!! They refused to give over my credit card and ID because they wanted to charge everyone in my party 20$ extra for something we DID NOT DO!!! Extremely disappointed. I booked a 10am reservation for a boat ride to fire island. I got to the dock at 10am and waited until 1030am and no one ever showed up. It is nearly impossible to get in contact with these people. All phones going right to voice mail and no response to text messages. You would think that if you booked a $500 service that people would I don't know show up or maybe answer your phone calls. If you don't want to do something just say no don't say yes ask for my credit card information and then not show up. There was another group of people there too experiencing the same thing. read more

I had a great time!. The guide gave us a great ride, riding us through the marshes & open water. My only criticism is there was a delay in getting us started and no one was present outside the office to explain the delay or to direct us to the life jackets.
