We were in for a very big and pleasant surprise: the restaurant itself, its great decoration and furniture which give a soul and a feeling one would have in an old library. Extremely cosy and warm, one could spend hours here. The service was impeccable, friendly and professional, on arrival and during our meal. We had a stunningly tasty pear and celery soup as a starter ( Birnen Selleriecremesuppe). We then each had the 'Himmel und Erde' ( black pudding with applesauce and mashed potatoes) and the 'Edel-Labskaus', specialities from Germany both of which we very much recommend. The quality and the sauces with the meat were particularly delicious. We couldn't resist ordering dessert and it is actually clever of them to offer smaller portions of creme brulee and chocolate tart which were both excellent. The wine we had was equally good. Why 5 stars? because for the price it was simply perfect, neither cheap nor expensive. We will definitely return there on our next visit to Binz.
