The restaurant sits back in the cut so you'll have to pass through another entrance to find it. I sat solo on the terrace and was waited on quickly despite it being pretty busy. There were a few larger groups as well making this the perfect lunch spot for a group! I came here for the tortas and Mezcal which apparently must be drank with an orange slice. If you're looking for a twist on the authentic dishes, you've found it! The outside terrace was beautiful and relaxing while dining. Apparently the milkshakes are also a staple here however I came mainly for the Mezcal. I also enjoyed a Mexican soda to chase the Mezcals I enjoyed. Of course you should already have cash if you exchanged USD, but don't forget it. Prices are reasonable and the portions were great for the value. I enjoyed my solo experience and can't wait to travel back to the DF!

There was only one other customer already seated by the time that I arrived, and I definitely selected an outdoor table because the weather so far here is excellent. The restaurant itself is quite large, with two levels of seating, including the expansive outdoor patio section. Their menu is decent, and they have most of the usual Mexican breakfast platters that you could think of. I decided to go for the enchiladas verdes platter which included a side order of refried beans. The platter also included rolls, a glass of orange juice, and coffee. The enchiladas were cooked to perfection, and I especially enjoyed the coffee. My Server was also attentive and checked on me at least twice.

Nothing like a weekend evening in Coyoacán. It's nice to have a meal, drinks, ice cream, do a…read morelittle shopping and people watch. On a recent trip to Mexico City I did a mandatory pit stop in Coyoacán. Our place of choice for desert and coffee was La Catrina. Great service and a great array of ice cream and desert.
