This is a truly excellent diner, and judging by the amount of customers, I'm not the only person who feels that way. We we're lucky to get a table in the middle of the afternoon. Even though this restaurant is famous for their tortas, I opted for the filete a la tampiqueña. It tasted wonderful, and the platter had two enchiladas de mole, along with refried beans. My father ordered two tacos de bistek with cheese included. There was also a side of aguacate which he added to the tacos. The also offered some wonderful juices, and I chose the Jamaica juice. I love that drink. This restaurant is quite large with two levels, and an adjoining side patio. The food and service we're exceptional. read more

I was visiting MX City and I was craving some authentic tortas........ after checking out the web, Yelp! help me to get here. First I was feeling confident since the place is a established business/restaurant and not a place off the street, since I didn't want to try my luck and be disappointed. My order was a single torta and it was flavorless, it lack the "yum factor" and presentation Mexican cuisine is known for, just to later find out the ham had a grayish color and that wasn't a good sign, so after one bite I decided to stop eating it. The only great thing about my visit was the fact I was able to spot the meat color and avoid getting sick. Needless to say I was beyond disappointed, if your business talks about how long is being around and it's "well known" for one specific dish (tortas) but you fail to deliver on one single item, you might need to reconsider the quality of your products. Hopefully this will help other people and avoid getting sick or upset by not getting what you expected. read more

This is the mexican food I was longing for. The torta (steak) was absolutely great. My girlfriend got some juice, fries, and chicken soup. the chicken soup was a huge portion. The staff was super friendly to us, even though you have to go to 2 or 3 different stations to pick up different parts of your order. I would highly recommend this place for sure! read more

We had breakfast here and it was amazing. Two of us got tortas, which were quite filling and packed with freshly cooked meat. One of us got ham and eggs, which came with a side of toast as well. We all got some juice too, which came in these gigantic glasses that we couldn't finish (very good though). Overall, the service was very good and speedy. read more

Delicious, simple, inexpensive sandwiches made to order. I've tried cubano, milanesa, and pollo especial and all were winners. I deducted one star only because it's right on dirty, busy Revolucion, which doesn't make for the most pleasant dining experience. I recommend taking your sandwich para llevar and finding a shady spot in peaceful San Miguel Chapultepec, the neighborhood behind it. read more
