So last Friday night we went Mediterranean again per my request. And it was Aladdin's on park Ave. so we walked in waited a couple minutes and we asked to sit outside but it wasn't open yet. So we sat on the 1st floor on the other side of the stairs at the round table there. It was nice and it wasn't crowded yet. We had the place to ourselves for a little while. So we both ordered and he got the shrimp/chicken/beef Kebobs and I got the Mediterranean golden rice with broccoli m/mushrooms/onion and Greek salad plus homemade hummus which was delicious. The owner took our order and then waiter took care of us for the entirety of the meal. It was nice night out and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Interesting middle eastern spot. Sorta feels like a Jersey diner in there but the food alone earned a 10/10. Portions are huge and everything tastes healthy & flavorful. We loved the falafels (tasted like they make them in house) and the chicken & tenderloin combo plate. Servers were nice. Ambiance is a little outdated and the layout of the restaurant is awkward. If you know what tzatziki is, you know it's a dip. So if you see tzatziki on the menu in the soup section, you're going to assume it's a rendition of tzatziki in soup form. Well, that's not the case at Aladdin's! When ordering the tzatziki, my friend clarified that it was a soup, because she was intending to have it as her entree. The server said yes, only giving warning that it was served as a cold soup. So we were imagining a gazpacho and were surprised when it was served as literal tzatziki in a large bowl with minimal to dip in it - my friend had to request pita/veggies so that she could even consider consuming it. The other items we got were on the spectrum of okay (Falafel Pita) to good (Chicken Pita Wrap) to great (the Pasta dishes), so we're not saying don't choose Aladdin's, just be aware! The ambiance is kinda cool with multiple floors, but also weird in that some of the tables are really close together. I absolutely love Aladdin's! I would recommend going to the Monroe Ave location over Pittsford. They're the same name but different owners and the food imo on Monroe is wayyyyyy better. The food is excellently priced. 5 dollar house wine glasses and a bottle of wine will run you 26 dollars which is unheard of these days. I love the limone pasta and they have a gluten free penne option. The tzatziki sauce is super fresh with chunks of cucumber. Asked for it on the side with our pita rolls. Also the baba as an appetizer is that perfect Smokey eggplant taste. And all of this with such cute ambience and affordable prices. Only downside is parking can be tough around 5-8pm. You can either park on the street or behind the building so plan accordingly. read more

Two waters to drink, and the server kept the water glass full. Here's the best part: the app, soup, and pita wrap dinner was filling, and the total bill was just over $37.00 (with tip). Back when I was a student in Henrietta, in the late 80s, I was a server at another restaurant. When I had a Sunday off, I'd drag my bf to Aladdin's. We would eat everything we ordered, plus dessert. I moved away, all along the east coast, and then Midwest to Chi. Then I moved back to care for my mother. The best part of this experience is in WNY is revisiting this restaurant, via takeout. As a caregiver, takeout is a lifeline. The lentil soup is still great. The chicken pita roll is just as wonderful. The vegetarian combo is amazing, and you get your money's worth with the gyro plate. My only regret is not being able to eat at Aladdin's every few days. I'm in Niagara County, and they are in Monroe. This is not 5 stars for ambience or a Michelin star recommendation. I love Aladdin's! Everything I have ever tried there was good! I recently tried their pasta (from the Schoen place location) and it was fantastic! I always thought I'd only like pasta from an Italian place, but I was wrong! I got the toretllini in basil pesto, and it was fantastic!!! I've also had their hummus, spanokoptia, salad and pitas, and they're all good. I usually go to the Schoen place location mainly because it's so hard to park at the one on Monroe. I had never noticed before, but the prices are actually a lot cheaper at the Monroe restaurant, so I might try to go there more often. I usually pick it up to take home, and it's annoying to have to park far away and walk just for takeout. But to save me $5 or more, I'm going to have to try it. :) read more

I really enjoy this Aladdin's location and generally have a good experience! I've done both takeout and dine in pre-Corona and find myself always coming back around to some of the same dishes and options. Pita pockets, grilled gyros, lentil/chili with chicken, and their delicious chicken salad. I know it seems odd to go for Med food and order chicken salad, but theirs is really delicious and served with a huge bed of sprouts, fresh veggies, and yummy pita. Big fan! In the winter, the lentil chili is simply the best. I've tried to recreate it at home to no avail. Super well seasoned and packed with potatoes. Their grilled gyro pita is super filling! I will say I don't get the vibe that cleanliness is a high priority from this spot. It is an awkward three story building and I often just feel like it is a little...drab? Is that the right word? I don't know. I still always really enjoy it but find it hard to choose this spot over a cedar or any of the other great greek spots teaming up and down Monroe Ave. Overall - a fine spot to hit up with a group, but might suggest taking the extra drive to the Pittsford location for more ambiance! read more

Today we were in Rochester for a dr's appointment and we were in the mood for some Greek/Middle Eastern food. After checking out Yelp, we decided to give Aladdin's a try. Well we were absolutely thrilled at the service, the quantity and quantity of the food. We started with an appetizer of Dolmades and Baba Ganoush. Both came with Feta cheese, fresh vegetables and pita bread. The grape leaves were wonderful as was the Baba Ganoush. Fresh and flavorful and delicious! I had the Souvlaki plate which consisted of a skewer of tender, grilled Souvlaki over a huge platter of salad with amazing grilled onions, fresh vegetables, feta and of course the Greek olives. This was a meal and a half. My wife had the Chicken Salad platter which was a heaping serving of Chicken Salad alongside a huge salad which like mine was fresh and delicious! The Greek dressing was excellent! We both took home food but we had to try the Pistachio Baklava. It was tender, flaky, moist and redolent with honey, buttery flavor and filled with Pistachios. Our server was Ava and she was helpful and skilled at her job. This was a reasonably priced meal and we will definitely be going back! read more
