My son was told his treatments would run for 18 months, so that time elapsed. Then every time we would show up expecting it was his last treatment, they would scold him and say, "You have to wear your rubberbands! We'll check again in another 4-6 weeks. " This happened in May, then August, then September, then October, then November. Each time he came out of a 6 minute appointment with the same vague prognosis and direction. He was absolutely 100% consistent with keeping rubberbands on 24/7. However, finally, today after 25 months of treatment, the doctor asked him to show how he was putting on the bands and realized he was not attaching his rubberbands at the right anchors which was affecting the movement of the teeth. When he was not progressing, shouldn't they have thought to do this 6 months ago? So I expressed frustration. The doctor tried to tell me that they had predicted the braces coming off in November but I could point to a note right on his chart that said September. She also tried to show me on his chart small notations that she said meant each time he has been in that they taught him how to attach the bands. He says no, they just asked if he was wearing them. They verbally told him what to do but never checked as today. He has also gotten contradictory directions; one doctor said to wear the left side always and the right only at night. Then a different doctor said to always wear both. Now this third doctor said he should have been doing the different schedule for left and right sides. This place is a factory churning people through in under 15 mins each. I did not think I needed to go stand next to my 16 year old and listen and watch over the care, but if you use this business, you definitely should. Shuffling patients between 3 doctors does not seem like best practice to me and you might end up with months of extra discomfort due to their cursory exams and lip service. read more

This is review about treatment. Front desk, office staffs and assistants are great. Our daughter's dentist recommended that her first premolars need to be extracted to have space for braces. So we came to Dr Johnson and Jolly's seeking second opinion. Dr Johnson said premolars don't need to be taken out. So we started braces with them and she wore some appliance to have her more space for teeth. After long 3.5 years she is done with braces but her upper teeth are still very portruded. When I address this problem they are saying this is how far they can go because of the limited space. If we wanna fix this problem they need to extract teeth now, after 3.5 years( sigh). Now she is 14 and obviously she doesn't want her teeth pulled out at this age. This is not the result we expected after 3.5 years and not definitely happy. read more

I just finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Johnson and Dr. Jolly. I had considered 5 different orthodontists and chose Dr. Johnson's office. During the first consultation Dr. Johnson was very thorough and explained what I needed to have done besides just wearing the Invisalign trays. All the other consultations were pretty quick and simplistic and wanted to charge you more at the end if you were not happy with your results. They truly care about their patients, have amazing attitudes, and really make sure they get your teeth just right. Orthodontia knowledge and related engineering have advanced significantly in the past few years, Readers-and this office is taking full advantage! My 13 y.o. just had his braces put on by Dr. Johnson today, and what a GREAT experience! Dr. Johnson explains to the kids exactly what he is doing using age appropriate language and terms. He makes them feel at ease and comfortable in the dental chair. In short: his dental "bedside manner" is AWESOME. This same level of caring and expertise is also demonstrated by his staff. When my son left today, he said he liked the office and everyone in it "a lot." Did you know this office is the only one in the area who fit the braces to dental impressions taken BEFORE actually putting them on? What this means is, instead of molding the braces to each individual tooth (a painstaking process taking hours) at time of install, they fit them into a "memory mold" taken from the initial set of dental molds. They pop this "memory mold" holding the braces directly onto the teeth. This creates "instant braces" for clients and makes the entire process pain-free and faster for them to sit through. I was very impressed by this technique, and that Dr. Johnson consults with his colleague, Dr. Jolley over each patient file before their treatment plan begins. The "reward incentives" they give for kids and parents to make timely appointments are worth it, and you can tell the folks working here really love what they do and enjoy working with the clients :) If you're going to get braces, Dr. Johnson & his staff are the people to see! About ten years after my children finished orthodontics with Drs. Johnson and Jolley, I decided to have Invisalign orthodontics because I had some crowding and a front bottom tooth that was seriously turned. Dr. Johnson really listened to my concerns about not wanting any of my teeth removed to alleviate crowding. Instead of pushing the extractions, he worked with a group of orthodontists with whom he meets regularly to discuss cases and pick each other's professional brains. He even consulted an Invisalign expert in Canada! Long story short, no extractions (!), and I finished Invisalign a little earlier than I expected. My teeth look great! I recommend Drs. Johnson and Jolley's orthodontic practice without reservation. Everyone is friendly, professional, and highly competent. They go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable, explain every step they are doing, and always check to make sure you are at ease. Wow, could the be any nicer? And efficient, what a great team. Brought my son in for a look, X-rays were taken with a consult, was given all the info and were told that we could wait a few years. Who knows if we'll still be in town in a few years but if we are, we'll certainly return.
