None the area completely so I wouldn't feel a thing came out so easily. He was gentle and it was $20 less than what they quoted me which was a good surprise. The whole procedure took 20 minutes in and out. I was told that it might hurt the third day afterwards to take Tylenol and ibuprofen if so, and that'll be the worst day did not hurt at all didn't hurt coming out didn't hurt afterwards ever best procedure ever done. I recently needed work done on my front teeth. I had been to two other dentists that wanted to do bridges and crowns that my insurance doesn't cover and I couldn't afford. Dr Myles got me in quick and filled both teeth and they look excellent. I don't know why I even bother going to anyone else. I would highly recommend either of them to anyone looking for a good dentist.

Not terribly fond of going to dentists, especially going to a new one! So I decided to call Hastings Dental Clinic, as many years ago I had been to Dr Hastings, father of Dr Brian Hastings. I made an appointment to start my dental catch-up with a filling in a front tooth, as it had a visible spot on it. I saw Dr Brian Hastings, he introduced himself, he was friendly and put me at ease. He then looked at my tooth, that I was concerned about. He examined the tooth, told me he was pretty sure it was a stain, not a cavity. He explained to me that the tooth had been overfilled a bit (which he said was not uncommon), so there was a little ridge that created a spot for bacteria to collect... He said let me try something, he proceeded to buff my tooth, the stain disappeared!!! Amazing a dentist that tells me I don't need a filling, when that is what I made the appointment for! He then told me it was on the house!!! He said consider it a welcome gift! I'm pretty sure I've found my new dentist!!! I made an appointment for my cleaning, to continue my dental catch up. Dr Brian Hastings is an honest man and very likable! Also I received no lectures about waiting so long between dental visits. I am Very Pleased with Hastings Dental Clinic!!!

They know when to watch and wait and when to act and oftentimes give you your options and give you the opportunity to decide (when appropriate). They have kiddos of their own so they are very understanding and good with kids. Cannot recommend enough! ​

As her patient it's obvious she wants what's best for me…read more I've had older fillings since a child, as of this writing I'm 50, and she saw some deterioration of some of the older fillings. We got those replaced with new and even though I had other older fillings she wasn't concerned about them in their current state and therefore didn't try and convince me to get them replaced just because they were older. As a patient it feels good to know you won't be sold a bill of goods with unnecessary procedures. I've worked with two of her hygienists and they were both great. I go in every 3-6 months for cleanings. I see for 2015 she was voted most favorite dentist in Springfield. I'm not surprised. Well deserved.
