We started up with Ken and he made sure to watch us so that we didn't fall too far behind or miss a turn. He also took every opportunity to shoot photos where there were good scenic viewpoints. We also crossed a stream. And he shot a video of us crossing the stream. If you are looking for a good ATV adventure I would say don't go any further and book this excursion. The trails are difficult enough to make it fun for everybody and then not so difficult where it becomes overwhelming.

This was hands-down one of the best experiences we had while visiting Alaska; it's an incredibly unique way to get out and see the amazing mountain views and Alaskan terrain. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced ATV rider, Alaska Off-Road Adventures has something for everyone. Ken took the time to get us acquainted with the vehicles and then led us on a fun ride over many varying terrain elements. He had a wonderful personality and really made this trip feel special. We had 4 drivers and 1 rider with varying degrees of ATV-familiarity and by the end of the tour every single one of us had grins from ear-to-ear (and just the right amount of mud splattered on us!). Ken's ATV tour is something that my family still talks about months after our trip. It felt like we were playing follow the leader for 5 mi up and 5 mi back on a largely straight trail. The endpoint is a lovely home with a picturesque stream but we were expecting that once we got there we'd actually be able to freestyle on the ATVs a bit. This was simply our expectations, there's nothing in their advertising that says this will happen. Even so, if you're hoping to have an exciting ride, this was kind of tame. We never really got above 15 mph on the trail. The guides were great, nothing against them. Just really missed our expectations. Based on the other reviews, most people seem to love it.

We asked Dave to organize a helicopter fishing trip for a group of us last summer stuck at a lodge…read morethat had poor fishing conditions. He was happy to do it short notice. When he billed us, we understood why. Other than booking the chopper and coming on the trip himself and perhaps baiting a couple of hooks, he provided zero services. No food, no drinks, nothing. The guides from our camp came along with us at our cost and provided most of the services. The trip started around 8 am and was over by 2 or 3. We expected to pay him a guide fee and cover the cost of the chopper's hourly rate. Total flight time was 7.3 hours, which I verified with the pilot. In the end, when Dave sent the bill, he charged a guide fee of $1,100 and then padded the chopper bill by almost two flight hours to 9.2 hours. Chopper rate was $725/hour. Challenged about this billing, Dave flew into a rage and said that his guide rate was, in fact, $295/person/day ($3,245 for our group, most of whom had literally not even seen him that day or gotten an iota of service from him) plus the flight time, and he would be happy to change the bill to reflect that rate instead of padding the hours, which he said had only done to "save on taxes." I'm not making this up - all of this was in writing, so it's no exaggeration. Bottom line: if you do anything with Dave Fish Alaska, hold your wallet. You're dealing with a dishonest guy who will fleece you if he can.

Safety is clearly their priority- they were were confident, professional and kind. It was cloudy the day we went so we could only see the foothills of Denali, but it was still gorgeous. There we tons of songbirds seranading us in the trees. The last two zips near the lake were my favorite. Simply beautiful. Also really enjoyed the rappel. We are already planning our next ziplining adventure with their sister company in Seward which apparently includes 3 rappels.

Done here once and I don't think I would repeat again type level. Yes it was beautiful and all but excitement level was just an average for me. It's still fun way to spend a few hours outdoors safely. You may want to use a mosquito repellent prior to your arrival. While mosquitoes may not come up high, we eventually have to come down, and they are a lot of them here.

My husband and I spent the last night of our honeymoon here and we were the only guests. We stayed in the Denali Suite and it was beyond words. Maleia, the caretaker, was so kind and warm. She cooked the absolute best savory waffles for breakfast for us in the morning with homemade berry scones. (Not to mention the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that were waiting for us when we checked in that were divine.) Maleia also owns the most beautiful white dog, Freija, who is so sweet and lovable. Our room was incredible - with large windows facing Denali. The bed was comfy and the sheets were warm. There was a clawfoot tub for taking a bubble bath which was incredible. A coffee maker is in the room and two overstuffed chairs facing the windows to enjoy the morning view with your coffee. My only regret was not staying here longer. But the next time we are in Alaska, we will be coming to Talkeetna and staying at the Denali Overlook Inn for at least a week.

On the last day, the weather finally cleared up and there! Oh it was so beautiful, I stood there admiring the mountain for a long time. My in keeper said only 10% of visitors get to see the mountain, and I felt very lucky to be that 10%. Other than that, this is a very small park.
