I would say it's only surpassed by the new place in Soldotna; prior to discovering the place in Soldotna, it was our opinion that Denail 420 was the best we've uncovered. The store is sprawling, they have all varieties and permutations of cannabis AND paraphernalia. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. It's nice that the store is oriented side ways, so you have some privacy if you don't want people knowing your business about where you're shopping. Their hours are also well extended beyond most other places in the bowl. Only bummer is Houston has a city tax in addition to the state tax, so factor in a few extra dollars beyond the listed prices. Prices are still pretty much on par. We like this place and expect they will do quite well, especially once they expand into growing. Like all places in Alaska, cash only.

My number was completely skipped over because "some friends" were inline waiting as well. I mentioned this to the person calling numbers and I was given the old "shit happens". Second visit, I felt like a third wheel just being in the store. First sitting in the lobby, second, inside the store portion. I had to ask for help, I had to ask for pricing. Just not for me.

Limited strains and varieties are available. Prices are on par with everyone else, so nothing special there. Also not much in the way of paraphernalia. On the flip side, staff is super nice and knowledgeable. They have their own grow operation, which may mean in the long run their prices may come down and varieties may increase. Ample parking. Bud tender takes you to the back one at a time while others wait in the lobby, which I think is bizarre in some respects. But I think a certain segment of the population may appreciate this. They would have business regardless. But the people are absolutely lovely. I don't partake, but I always check places out for the benefit of review. And I come from a family of people with additiction problems. And I know what quality cannabis looks and smells like. This place is selling quality weed. The buds are big and moist. They even have spectacles so you can inspect them properly. The smell of the store is something to behold. Its like .... welcome back 1970. Very pleasant. Also, this place is also the community food drop off site. So theres something to be said for doing good as well. The had cute items in the store- funny themed shirts and socks and some lovely hand made earrings. There is also a nice waiting area for anyone who chooses not to enter the store. Outside theres a pleasant deck and a burger bus on the premises. All very cool.
