On our wedding day she handled our larger family photos like a true professional. We were shocked when we found that we'd followed our wedding day schedule almost to the minute, from getting ready, to first look, to bridal photos at a nearby park, to getting back to our venue in time to relax before the ceremony. Savanna also has an insanely fast response time. She's so detailed in her responses and goes above and beyond to clarify details such as meeting time, weather alternatives, timelines, etc. We also had our engagement and wedding photos back within a matter of weeks! She is warm, easy to connect with and feel relaxed around. She has a very contagious laugh which I believe is a necessary asset in a photographer. She is great with kids and creative at keeping toddler's attentions. At a newborn session with my week old son, I wanted some bare bottomed pictures. As soon as his diaper came off he unloaded all over her. She didn't even bat an eye. Just chuckled, whipped out her own wipes and went right along with our session. She comes to each session with her own ideas but always asks us what our vision is. She is creative with her shots and editing but not so out there that it seems unrealistic. She captures moments that are unexpected. My little tot was not thrilled for one of our sessions. Older sister sat down next to him with a look on her face that could only be described as a preschooler eye roll at little brother's tantrum. Kari captured that moment and knew it would be a picture that would make us smile. She has sent us walking to our next shot location and stood behind to sneak photos of us walking and hand holding. Some of these informal pictures of our family are what we cherish the most. Kari actually cares deeply about her clients, which is why she has so many repeat clients who come back to her at their next phase of life. Stacey brought a lot of outfits, wraps, backgrounds, etc. for us to choose from which was really helpful since we weren't completely sure what we wanted - and she suggested some really adorable poses! She's very warm and gentle with the newborns, and just as great with the toddlers; she read a story to our 2-year-old daughter while I nursed the baby, and our daughter just adored her. Prior to coming to our home, she also emailed several suggestions for getting ready (such as making sure the room was a little warmer than normal so the baby would stay sleepy and happy through outfit changes). We find her so fun to work with and she makes the process so easy; it's amazing to be put at ease while having your picture taken. She had the pictures to us within the week, and they are gorgeous! When I got married I struggled to find a photographer who understood the angles and posing of a plus sized bride and I was unhappy with my photos from that day. Now pregnant I was having the same worries and felt like I just couldn't love my maternity photos no matter who did them. I was so wrong!!! I had tears in my eyes when I received my sneaks, she made me look so beautiful! Even before I saw any finished images though, I left her studio in Mill Creek feeling so special and optimistic! She's ghosting ALL our messages - in fact the only way I've been able to even elicit a reply from her is by going directly to her website and scheduling a fake appointment. I do have digital copies of his photos, but the hard-copy items are "in the mail" according to her. I'm now out $2,000 and my son's senior year is almost over. Next step is court. DO NOT ALLOW THIS PERSON TO BE IN CHARGE OF YOUR IMPORTANT EVENTS!

When the printed photos were made available to pick up from the school a month later, my son's weren't in the pile. The photographer was emailed by the school on behalf of our family. The school and I haven't recieved ANY communication from the photographer for over a month and a half now. Come to find out from other parents and school staff, she has ghosted all of our fall sports team. NO PHOTOS, printed or digital, for many, MANY families in Lake Stevens. I have my paid reciept from September and nothing to show for it. I've tried to reach out to her several times via email, phone and facebook with no replies. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
