I lost the veneer in one of my front teeth while traveling away from home. This practice fit me in within the hour and did a fabulous job of fixing my tooth at a very reasonable price! I highly recommend! read more

Down a normal alley (though alleys are always slightly creepy, and this one has a mechanic shop…read morehalf way down it) lies this little dentist office. It is horribly plain and lifeless when you walk in, with white walls and a stale feeling about it. There seem to be too many plain chairs lined up, and the long corridor dotted with closed doors looks more like an interrogation center than anything good. Ok, not that visiting the dentist is harmless, but I had a strange sense that I should leave, and that if something bad happened I would remember that I hadn't left when my instinct told me to. Clearly I was in a strange mood Thursday last week when I visited, because two smiling faces and the best dentist I've ever met worked on me. She told me things no one has told me (not american or scottish dentists) about grinding my teeth and a broken filling (ok this later could have happened recently). She showed me xrays and told me her recommendations. I'm heading back this week for the first part, which is some kind of guard to stop my teeth being worn down due to clenching (how was she to know?). Most importantly, I was not hurried in and out. She answered questions, she was knowledgeable and polite, and I felt like more than anyone before she cared what happened to my teeth. Thanks!

Haymarket dental care is run by husband and wife team Charlotte and David who are both lovely and they have a team of dentists at the practice. My Dentist Lorna Burns is just fantastic! She talkes me through any procedures and options which leaves me at ease. The place itself is spotlessly clean even down to putting plastic covers on the handle of the dentists light above you. This is an NHS dentist but you can opt for paying extra for example paying to have a white filling rather than an amalgalm. There are two parking spaces at the front of the dentists which are free. I reccommended this dentists to two of my work colleagues who hadn't been to the dentists in years as they both had a fear of the dentist and both were reassurlngly and gently eased into it and both have overcome their fear and are pleased with the results. They text you a reminder the day before your appointment which ensures I never miss an appointment. very handy!

Overall not bad place but I'm not going to be seen by a incompetent dentist I don't want anywhere near my mouth again.

It is a good bonus is that they are open every second Saturday so I can go outside if work hours. My dentist, Dr Nashvin Padayachee, provides excellent service, is very professional, friendly and comprehensively answers all my dental related questions - no matter how obscure. I feel like he is honest about the procedures I do and don't need and doesn't try to offer unnecessary dental work which I really appreciate. I find Dr Nashvin and the dental practice trustworthy which is important to me with such services. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

What amazed me most was that my dentist there, David Kilroy, managed to give me the first entirely pain free dental injection I've ever had (and I've had quite a few having had wisdom teeth removed under a local before). Before I even noticed he's made the injection, I could feel my mouth going numb. Highly recommended!

It was easy to register as a new patient, and I was thrilled that Citrus is on the NHS and therefore very affordable! I had a little bit of a hard time finding this place, but Meadows Place curves so Citrus Dental (and the health clinic it's with) are along the Meadows and the higher numbers curve around away from the Meadows. Although the building is a bit nondescript from the outside, it's nice and modern inside. I saw the dentist Drew today and he was excellent. I was nervous ahead of time that it would hut, but he was extremely gentle and explained exactly what he was doing to keep me fully informed throughout the dental check and then the cleaning. I had x-rays done and couldn't believe they're only £4 on the NHS, so well worth it. After my dental check, I had the cleaning and it was pain-free and left my teeth feeling great (and only cost £10!). I'm really happy with my new dentist and, while I wouldn't say I'm excited for my next appointment (because who can be excited about the dentist?), I know I'll be in good hands when I go back in six months.

I got my teeth fixed here. I struggled with shame and embarrassment due to my horrible squint teeth…read morefor a long, LONG time until I decided that enough was enough and that I should get braces to end the shame once and for all. First impressions count for a lot and most of the time I am let down in that regard. The Vitality Clinic bucks the trend by having a young crew and a bright attitude. There's no hatchet-faced old hag sitting at reception or ancient dentists lecturing you for not brushing 100% perfect, something that has frequently put me off going for check-ups. The clinic accepts dental and optical patients but my experience was strictly with the dental. I was treated by Dr. Andrew Welsh, who sort of looks like Seth McFarlane's younger Glaswegian brother. Getting through all the phases and steps of fitting and tightening braces was a long, heavy grind but Andrew always kept it personal by never treating me like a faceless number. The staff here all call you by your first name instead of the robotic "Sir" or "Mr. Watson", which I hate. The process of wearing braces was absolutely not without pain and torture though the grind was mercifully broken by friendly staff. It really makes a difference. If you are looking to sign up with a new dentist (or optician, I guess) then I'd most certainly recommend the Vitality Clinic.
The worst dentist practice ever!…read more I went to Pearl Dental for an Air Abrasion Clean and Teeth Hygiene Examination. However, I left the surgery with a sore in my mouth, swollen glands and a blocked ear! When they used the suction tool to remove the saliva, the tool sucked underneath my tongue, and it started bleeding. I raised my hand for them to stop, but they hadn't noticed the blood - the suction tool was full of it. They tried to remove the blood with gauze, but they hurt my tongue in the process. When I arrived home, I saw that they had refunded my money. They told me that they would ring to check that I was okay after the ordeal; however, I never heard from them. Three weeks later, I still have a large ulcer under my tongue and smaller sores on my gums. I want to warn future customers about the lack of professionalism of this dental practice. They are using outdated dental instruments, and the level of professionalism and customer service was deplorable, both from dental staff and receptionists.

But Whitecross, whom I've been to for my past 2 fillings, are entirely different. They are very welcoming and put me right at ease. My mum came here to get her fillings changed to white ones and cost her a total of £115 for them all. Bargain! With each check-up is a complimentary dental-hygiene appointment. Although it's not the most pleasant experience, you know it has to be done. Overall, it's a very professional dentist and puts me at total ease. I can see my fears fading here!
