This is a quiet gem in the Lower Engadine in Switzerland and offers the perfect balance of Swiss hospitality, convenience, location and surrounded by sheer beauty. As a three star hotel it offers comfortable, clean rooms furnished nicely and a superb dining room. Their chef shines at dinner with outstanding five course meals. The wine list is hand chosen by the hotel's owner and all are superb and are geared to enjoy with meals at reasonable prices. The hotel is very convenient to transportation and the ski lift which is 1 minute away. The south facing rooms have lovely balconies which face the mountains providing spectacular views. Highly recommended hotel.

The hotel is just across the bridge from the "centro storico" so we had a short walk every evening for dinners out which was totally fine because Bormio is a lovely town to walk through. The hotel has been undergoing renovations and we booked a new suite which was extremely spacious and very well stocked with everything from water to bathroom essentials, robes, and fitness equipment (bench, free weights, yoga mats, balance ball). Funivia is a sport hotel so it's perfect for cyclists and skiers. They even have a bike garage for cyclists. They also offer fitness classes outside in the summer/early fall. There's a pool, sauna, etc. Everyone was super gracious and beyond accommodating for our three year old daughter. They set up a crib and a little tub, for her too! However, this they are transitioning out of being a family oriented hotel and will be adult only soon.

We (2 adults + 2 kids) stayed here for two nights in July 2018 and enjoyed every second. The breakfast is nice with a good variety of bread, cereals, fruits and cakes. We had a superior room with a balcony towards the mountains and although the room was not huge, it was very adequate and suited our needs. The pool is nice and our kids loved it. It is indoor, but the doors can be opened to the outside, which is great, because you can sit outside and be close to your kids in the pool. They also have a kids room in the basement with toys. There is also a small spa with sauna and cold shower, but we did not try that. It is possible to book the rooms with just breakfast, but it is also possible to include dinner. There is also a very nice terrasse with sun beds and sofas and the atmosphere is so nice and relaxing. The employees here are very friendly and helpful. I imagine that this is also a wonderful hotel in the skiing season, since it also only takes about five minutes to walk to the gondola to the top of the mountain (this can also be recommended as a half-day trip)

One downside though, if there are more than two people in your group (like a family of 4) be prepared to buy additional rooms. They definitely have an eye for quality. Some rooms use a community bathrooms and showers while others have very small, blue, ultra-modern bathrooms crammed into the room. The bathroom experience is worth the stay in itself, but you are going to love every other aspect of the hotel as well. Bergun is a nice small village of farmers with easy access to hiking trails. We enjoyed visiting the church and going to the bakery.

This is a very nice family ski hotel in passo del Torno. The rooms are very large, nice and clean…read moreoverall but a bit dated. The WIFI at the hotel is NOT very good. It works about 1/3 of the time in the high floor rooms. It works half the time in the lobby. However this is common in passo. The dining area is cafeteria type and standard for the hotels here. The food ranged from average to good. There is assigned seating to eat which I find annoying. So you are always at the same table. The spa area is nice but can be crowded. My friends were staying at the miramonti next door which is very similar. I think the rooms at Vittoria are much nicer and the hotel has much more charm than miramonti. Overall I recommend sport Vittorai and id stay here again.
