I stayed at Hotel Walser for two nights while trekking the Tour de Mont Blanc and really enjoyed my stay. My trek-roommate and I were placed in a room with a queen bed downstairs and a loft with two twins above. The room was clean, decently cute, with a nice shower and a patio overlooking the mountains. Plus, Maurizio, the young guy who I assume manages Walser, is very nice and pretty cute ;-)
They offer free wifi in their entry lounge, which is a huge room with comfy chairs and couches. They also offer a fully-stocked bar downstairs which attracts the firemen next door for breakfast coffee and nighttime drinks. The breakfast was quite nice, with a selection of cereals, yogurts, pastries, and fruits. For those of you who are too tired from trekking to stray outside of the hotel for dinner, they also provide a very nice dinner with a salad bar, main course, and dessert. Though, realistically, this dinner is probably utilized most by the old Italian ladies who seem to flock to this hotel. I was informed by a friend on my trek that her toilet see was higher than average, making us think that they cater specifically to an older crowd. read more
