Overall the staff are friendly and many have been there for many years. Meats have a decent variety but watch dairy expiration dates. Do NOT buy ice cream here. When restocking, they park the frozen products in the isle until stocked and they may stay there for hours. So, I'm in the store and find a case lot of chili in cans, on the clearance section. If it's reasonable, I'll buy the whole lot and take it to the Hunger coalition and donate it. There was no price on the product so I asked two employees for help, neither spoke English. So I found the #4 floor person "Greg K" for assistance. He told me it was 50% off regular price. Okay Greg, how much is that? I don't know because it's not marked. You'll need to find someone to tell you and walked off. I kind-a figured Greg would be a good resource to determine the price, obviously not. I will never shop at Albertson's again. Today was the final straw. Usually, the problem is inflated prices (not because of inflation, but the gimmick of inflating a price in order to set a "lower" sales price - one that is actually higher than the usual shelf price and calling it a "sale"), or of getting home to find out that the product price Albertson's has charged me is different from the price posted on the shelf. This time, however, Albertson's played the gimmick of a "Digital Price" - by posting the digital price in bold and large letters (as though it is for every shopper) - only the better price is just for those who have their App (as though we all want an Albertson's App!). The posting is/was simply misleading! I'm sick of the Albertson's game - and just want a grocery store that is straight-up. Hence - Atkinson's, which does not play games, is now my store of choice. This is for the deli.. This has always been my go to place for buying deli meats. The first time we were turned away was a few months ago. They told us their slicers were already cleaned so they were closed.. It was 8:00pm. Two weeks later we show up at 7:30pm and again, they're slicers have already been cleaned so were turned away once more. Last week I went in at 7:00pm and figured this would be the last time I give this place a try. When I walked up to the deli I automatically got bad attitude. I stood there for two minutes, waiting for the employees to acknowledge my presence. After finishing their conversation one of them approached me and told me, "Our slicers have been cleaned for the day. Sorry." SERIOUSLY????? IT WAS 7:00 PM. I will be taking my business to Atkinson's where they close at 9 PM, I am not coming back here for meats. This review gets two stars because the deli is the only place I've had an issue with. read more

The staff at Albertsons work very hard every day, especially during the pandemic, to give customers the best service, keep the shelves stocked and provide fresh food and bakery items. With all the new people moving into the valley and a shortage of workers, it's been even more difficult for them. It's unfortunate to read criticism of these workers with all the pressure they are dealing with. I use Albertsons as my main grocery store and appreciate all the do. read more

Live two hours away. Drove there in snow for a grocery shopping trip, purchased two packages of chicken (3 half chickens in each package) Drive home 2 hours in snow! Kept all groceries on ice chest on trip. Put packages in fridge at home. Opened for dinner and it was BAD. Opened second one, same thing! Called manager to let my son come in and get refund and take info on Receipt over phone in my hand. She refused, said hold onto receipt and next time your in my town bring it in and get your refund. Insisting she needed receipt, not that she didn't believe me. In fact said to throw meat away. I have returned items to Albertson's for years and years without a receipt. They use my telephone number to prove I bought it! Very poor customer service! read more

(Zero stars) The service is always shitty....(rolling eyes) I dont Know what's up with the cashiers, but oh my gosh,moody moody moody! Yesterday I called to get information on kitty food (it's snowing here in Sun Valley and I wanted to compare prices between Atkinson in Ketchum and Albertsons in Hailey Which is a further drive and honestly driving in the snow wasn't safe at the time of the event) (figure I call in to check on a price "no big deal right---customer service is important to Albertsons.") The lady at the Starbucks booth name Daniel answered the phone as if she hated her job. (sucks for you) I gave her the information: 1.brand (product) 2.pet department 3.wet kitty food I asked her to check the price.she didn't want to head to the department to check the price because "she sighed on the phone LOUD ENOUGH FOR ME TO HEAR AND SAID, "you want me to check the price?" (In an attitude voice.) I said, "yes please." I mean isn't that what customer service is about? EXCEEDING TO THE CUSTOMERS EXPECTATIONS, plus the pet department is seriously right in front of STARBUCKS.She wasn't walking far- So, she had me on hold-than hung up-after 8minutes. I called again and Told her, "Daniel, We accident hung up." She didn't apologize and asked again what I wanted. **she was rude again** Again, I told her Brand of the product,wet kitty food and asked for the price to be checked. She than asked me: "Honey what is it you need?" (Okay,customer service! CUSTOMER SERVICE! People-never ever call anyone HONEY...I mean, why you calling me honey first of all-I DONT KNOW YOU?!!) Again I told her: Brand name (told her again) And she said, "is it pet food...?" (I paused and thought-she's an idiot or on drugs) I politely told her again. (Daniel has a hearing problem) Anyways, she put me on hold and she came back on the phone and hung up on me. (I spent about an HOUR to get basic information) I called again and told her, "I want to speak to a manager and she laughed and hung up on me again." (If she didn't want to do her job, ask a floor employee to do the job-it's that simple) I just can't believe the service this place has-its so sad- Albertsons needs to train there employees on CUSTOMER service. This is for the pharmacy. Worst service ever and I'm pretty sure they lied to me multiple times. Called early Thursday morning right as they opened to have a prescription transferred. They told me transfers take awhile so it would be a day and I said I needed it that day so they said come after 5. I've never had a transfer of this very simple, not dangerous prescription take more than an hour but whatever. So I come after 5 and they said it's still not ready. So I came back right as they opened the next morning. Not only is it not ready but they lost the phone # of the pharmacy I gave them so they had to retake all my info. Feeling very unsure of their ability to handle a simple rx transfer at this point, I call back to check on the progress before I return for what feels like the millionth time, I call and lo and behold but they're now claiming the transferring pharmacy never filled this rx, and that they called them yesterday and said the same thing and tried calling me yesterday. So this is where I get very upset. Not only has their story changed they've totally lied about calling me I had no missed calls or voicemails. So I call the transferring pharmacy to make sure I gave albertsons the right #. They tell me they found me right away in their system and would be happy to transfer the rx but have not had any calls yesterday or today. So I call albertsons again and they say AGAIN that the transferring pharmacy doesn't have any record of me. Call transferring pharmacy again. They say "nope, here you are right here - and even if they're getting the right rite aid for some reason, our systems are synced and they'd all be able to find you and transfer." After multiple more calls the answer albertsons finally gives me is "ok we are working on it now, we finally got it from them and asked why they told us they couldn't find you and they didn't have an answer". Dude. You're straight up lying Albertsons. Worst experience ever. Never again. read more

This is for the pharmacy. I had a daughter who had intractable vomiting. She was prescribed Zofran from the ER in Ketchum. I went there, gave the prescription to the pharmacy technician named Sheridan. I gave her my insurance card. She said it would take 20 minutes. Kind of a long time but, I thought that perhaps it was because there were a lot of people in front of me. Anyway, I came back in 15 minutes and she says Oh, have you ever even used your insurance card? I said...oh course, lots over the last 6.5 years. She said anyplace out of state and again...I said Walgreens, Target, CVS, some random hospital in Boise. She said she couldn't figure out how to use it and that I could either pay for it out of pocket or she could call my pharmacy but, that would take a long time. I said I'll call my pharmacy. I got the info she wanted in less than 2 minutes from my pharmacy back home, gave it to her and then waited. Then she said she couldn't get it to work. At which point, my great grandfather hops in and says he'll pay it because he wants to go. (mind you, the pharmacist is here the entire time and could have intervened and didn't and never came to see if she could help.). So, I get the prescription and drive the hour and a half back to where we are staying at which point a message from the pharmacy comes in saying they needed to talk to me about the prescription I picked up but, that they were closing and we could talk tomorrow. This made me look in detail at the prescription and Sheridan had sold me a prescription that was in someone else's name, with their address and personal information and containing a drug for heart failure...not for vomiting!!!!! What???? The name wasn't even close to my daughter's...not even the same letter. This kind of mistake could kill someone! When the pharmacist left the message, she just said she needed to talk about the medication..she never said 'DO NOT GIVE lisinopril to your child!!! It could hurt her!' She just said, 'let's talk tomorrow.' I called back, they were indeed closed, I called and spoke to Albertson's manager and she told me that they couldn't do anything about it. I let her know that this was a HUGE issue and that something better be done about it tonight. I asked for the pharmacy manager to call me back. The only saving grace to this story is the pharmacy manager...I think his name was Blain or Blake. Anyway, he was contacted and responded. He called me and saw that my daughter's prescription was there with a note that said that the client hadn't picked up their prescription (LIE! She sold me a prescription that belonged to someone else!). I let him know how critical it was for me to have my daughter's prescription and he graciously agreed to meet us near where we were staying over an hour away. He knew how important it was and was willing to go the extra mile to help someone who needed it badly. From my perspective, this was both the pharmacy technician (Sheridan) and the pharmacist's fault. This is a big deal...this mistake breaks HIPAA law and could have had negative health effects on a child. read more
