I had one unexpected expense which the roof needed reinforcements for the 20 panels. I have been saving 90% of my power costs since. The process went pretty smooth including Ameren's involvement. I since purchased an EV which also charges at my home and was not included in the power consumption estimate they figure out prior to installing. Even with the additional power use due to my car, it is working out great. Electricity costs go up every year so hopefully that saving will go in my pocket.

I'm writing this review after 1 year from initial service…read more The initial installation was went fine the pricing was decent $20,000 for a 5 KW system with 10 KW battery and a Smart switch for backup. After selling the Rex the cost was $14,000 same price it would have cost if I would have performed the entire installation myself. After about a month I realized that 5 KW was not quite big enough. Getting them to respond to me and provide me with an estimate was like pulling teeth. They're follow-up communication it's horrible you will get some canned automated emails. I normally don't write long reviews as a former businessman and I definitely don't put any weight on a five-star review that's just an outright lie usually done by a friend of employee. But in this instance I will go out of my way to discourage anyone from using this company for any solar installation. Do your research get plenty of bids there's more than one installer that services Southern Illinois. The one thing I would have to give this company is their ability to laugh at their customers, it appears they find their customers quite entertaining. So don't feel bad if they don't follow up on any communication because they're talking about you.
