We left Alcuin to attend the Oak Park public Schools (Mann) when she was in 5th grade for financial reasons and were completely let down by the local public school system.

Middle school is a miserable time of life. In my day, we called it "junior high" and it lasted two…read moreyears; today they have extended it to three, starting in 6th grade. If you have to endure those confusing, hormone-addled years somewhere, Julian Middle School is a good place to do it. As a parent, I would volunteer there for lunchtime projects so I could peek into the cafeteria and watch kids in the halls. No food fights, no overt disrespect, no running or rough-housing, at least that I could see. The teachers and administration take bullying seriously, and clamp down hard when the kids are brave enough to report it. Academics are fine, though neither kid had a stellar experience in science.

He cannot sleep at night because he knows he has to go to school in the morning. Lunch is not long enough. You get 20 minutes to eat and 20 minutes to go outside in the cold and you have no option to stay inside for any reason like forgetting your jacket or you havent finished your lunch and several times my son has been told to clean up other students messes because they were at the same table as him and left it there (not next to him of course) and when he refused he got multiple lunch detentions. my son gets his name made fun of it really is a horrible school he has no friends because no kids will even be nice to him. The staff is not helpful at all. He gets bullied every so often for being different and not having a facebook or snapchat or whatever this stupid generation is into. I could go on and on but im gonna end this. DONT SEND YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL IT IS REALLY HORRIBLE!

We had children enrolled for 8 years. Both kids were wholly engaged in the curriculum and supported in all aspects of their development while building beautiful, meaningful relationships with the other students, parents, teachers and the two amazing directors. They especially enjoyed being able to delve deeper into subject matter with TCS's project-based learning style. They loved being outdoors, having loads of field trips, learning art, music and theatre in addition to reading, math, history, civics and science. They learned to be critical thinkers, problem-solvers, good citizens and helpful friends. They were both welcomed and honored for their uniqueness and learned to further celebrate the diversity of others. Progressive Education at The Children's School was the right fit for my kids. Both of my children thrived at TCS and are now doing very well at our local public high school. It was a financial investment for our family but one we are so glad we made. I'd enroll them again in a heartbeat.

Trinity has turned a corner and was one of the first high schools to offer an International Baccalaureate Program, along with other programs. I know I was well prepared for college upon graduation. The 100th graduating class is the class of 2018, that's a lot of education. Sister Michelle is dynamic, gets the word out, and is totally AWESOME. She reported that they now draw from 37 suburbs and the city. Continued success.

The dean and teachers here are very rude and are not experienced. Being there for 4 years came with sadness and expense. The ac does not work, and don't get me started on the bathroom they are discusting. The girls here are very mean, and if you're okay with your daughter vaping and smoking then this is the perfect place. The classes are uneducated once took a physics class we didn't have one test nor homework done got a 100% for the whole course. Everyone here is racist and the thievery has gotten out of hand. I got my $100 aritiza jacket stolen and my shoes stolen, and people have opened and went into my locker during 3a and 3b when were in class and taken money or stole things. They don't care at all about mental health and there cockroaches throughout the school mainly the bathrooms and cafe area. when I please tell you coming from a student who has hated her 4 years and is a senior I have not learned much from this school send your child to Fenwick or Resurrection. I have lots of videos of the N WORD from teachers and students I also have pictures of teachers sleeping during class time, and other evidence please reach out if you would like to see before you think abt sending your child here. This school is basically a private OPRF, please think before you send your child here thank you. This is what my child and multiple of her friends wrote out and told me. Unacceptable
