This lady is very rude and unprofessional - don't believe me? Ring and let her wow you with her phone manner. Plus - unless you are over 60 (short back and sides) she doesn't really know how to cut hair either. My advice - go elsewhere. read more

But I can have nice at a lower price. I used to be impressed and ultimately grateful when I was offered a beverage on a visit to the hairdresser (MK's was one of the first salons to do this in my area) - and I still am, it's just now I expect it whichever salon I go to. Granted they do have a coffee machine with little biscuits sporting 'MK' written in icing, which is quite cute. They do a good job with colour so if you are a colour fiend like me then I say go for it! It's also a bonus that the business upstairs is a day spa, so sometimes they collaborate to make a package where the client can get a new do and perhaps an eyebrow tint to match! I think these package deals are pretty neat and a bit of a bargain, but if you're just getting a cut, make sure you have enough extra cash for the blow dry!

It's a great place to go if you need to wind down or you want a bit of luxury in your life. Coco's is extremely luxurious, a beautifully decorated space with holistic spa treatments for your every ailment. If you have the cash to throw around then I sincerely recommend this spa, based on the quality of the treatments and the surroundings. The staff are friendly, but its the kind of friendliness that is just brimming with falsity, so you're never going to know if they're genuine or just complimenting you for the sake of building some kind of rapport. I think holistic treatments are all well and good if the spa is truly passionate about natural therapies. Coco's claim they are, but when I read the philosophy on their web site which states that there isn't just four elements of nature any longer (fire, air, water & earth) and continue to list Infinity as the fifth... I begin to wonder if they are taking the piss. There are a lot of fancy hair treatments available as well, you can have smooth, frizz free hair for 3 - 5 months with their Global Keratin treatment and there are hair extensions available which use no heat, no glue & no resin. not entirely sure how it works but it must cut down on hair damage by a mile.

I went in for a restyle and was promised a haircut which would be high end and modern. The stylist & I looked at some photos before she started and the final result did not resemble that photo at all because I had stipulated that I did not want a bob and that is what I got. The final result is a very boring ho-hum bob hair style which nobody believes I paid $270.00 for! I must say the colour itself is ok, it's a block colour which didn't require a lot of skill. The girls themselves are very nice although I suspected some of it was forced. They have permanent smiles on their faces as they walk around the salon and whilst cutting & blow drying, nobody is that happy all the time surely. The girls ages ranged from 18 to 22, I feel the customers should be receiving a more experienced stylist given the prices they charge. I'm left with a hair style which I really don't like and regret cutting off my locks. Now I'm back to the drawing board to find another hair salon.

I've layered it with brown over brown then blonde but it didn't show up so more brown after that blah blah blah hair dye kills your hair! And then I found Krista... Krista is the owner of Urban Styles, she is the reason I still have any hair on my head at all! Krista is the female equivelant of Edward Scissorhands, except she is human. Oh and she doesn't actually have scissor hands, but you get me. The talent, people, the talent!! I almost don't want to tell everyone how fantastic Krista and her salon really are because I'm just making it harder for myself to get a booking, but like my mother always says, "it's nice to share". The biggest tick from me is for affordability, some of the other salons around will charge you both your arms and legs, but that's mainly for their fancy decor. not that Urban Styles isn't nice inside because it is, but it isn't pretentious like some of the other upmarket hairdressers around.

Pampering to the max in an ultra relaxing environment, I'm a big fan of beauty treatments and I'm…read moreall for the way in which the girls at Le'Dan provide them. Le Dan is best described as a sort of organic day spa, its all about using natural mood enhancers where they can to make the client feel relaxed and refreshed. such as Aromatherapy oil burners in reception and the herbal tea I was given during my pedicure (which was amazing, by the way). Jess was looking after me that day. Jess is the owner of Le'Dan Day Spa, she has a very friendly manner and she's easy to talk to if talking is what you prefer during your treatments. I like to space out a bit, which Jess will allow you to do with zero awkwardness. Le'Dan promotes the product range Skin Things and Dermalogica for facial and body treatments. Spray tans are also available so good news; you can avoid skin cancer again this summer! The girls will generally throw a voucher your way at the end of your treatment so that you can save some money on your next visit. I guess the only thing that lets this place down is the stair case you have to climb on entry, so, while it may be worth the hike, if you are in a wheelchair or you have trouble getting up flights of stairs, it just isn't practical.

The last time I had my tresses trimmed, the poor stylist was working on three customers simultaneously, plus manning phone appointments. She did an excellent job though and I commend her for that. I would love to see a dedicated set of stylists working on each available customer as I feel it's important for a hair stylist to make a connection with their respective clientele. Not every stylist can understand your hair type or stylist needs, hence I doubt I will be a regular here. On a positive note, the prices are reasonable and they usually hold regular promos to encourage foot traffic to the salon. My last visit saw me paying less than $50 for a wash, cut and blow.

I guess it is time to accept that feedback from a customer, either negative or positive, is the only way you can improve your business. Very disappointed.
