Majestic hair that looked like it belonged in a slow-motion shampoo commercial. Strong arms that could carry the weight of my emotional baggage and a week's worth of groceries. A smile like he already knew all my secrets--and was cool with all of them. His shirt--tight enough to show he definitely works out, loose enough to leave me desperate for more. It clung to his chest like it was blessed to even touch him. And every time he reached for the sriracha mayo, it lifted just a bit, revealing a flash of sculpted abs like a celestial reward for my devotion. Bowen. That was the name on his tiny name tag, as if that could possibly contain the full force of his cuteness, his power, his divinity. Just five letters, but it hit me like a freight train of longing. And then, like fate was being cruel on purpose, he said it-- That casual, heart-melting, "Hey, how's it going?" It sounded like a wedding vow to me specifically. Like in another life, we had already lived together, grown old together, and now he was just checking in from a memory. I stood there, stunned, heart pounding in my throat, my soul leaving my body and floating somewhere above the seaweed salad containers. I should've run then. I should've taken my spicy tuna bowl and left like a sane person, like someone with boundaries and dignity. But instead, I stood frozen in front of this shirted Adonis, already planning our shared Netflix queue, our future cat's name, and how I'd explain to my family that yes, I met the love of my life in line for poke. 10/10 would go again. Thank you, 507 Poke Bowl. And thank you, Bowen. You were the final straw.

He wanted something different instead of plain old buttered popcorn in a bag. The majority of the time bagged popcorn is usually stale and not crunchy. Then they have this artificial taste, which I'm not too crazy about, so I crushed them into small crumbs and feed the pigeons and wrens at Civic Center Plaza Park in SF. Well, across the potato chip aisle, I spotted Angie's Delightful Different Popcorn at $3.49 a bag (7 oz.). Since we haven't tried this brand before, we told ourselves - why not? What appealed to me was the fact that Angie's popcorn had "all natural everything, no artifical anything, cholesterol free, whole grain, no high fructose corn syrup, vegan, no trans fat, kosher, certified gluten-free and non-gmo project verified." Hubby got the salted caramel and I got the sweet and salty. Angie's Kettle Corn/Angie's Artisan Treats, LLC is a joint business venture of Angie and her husband, Dan. Their popcorn recipes are simple, creative and are made in small batches. It's packed in a vacuum sealed, foil-lined bag to retain its crunchiness and freshness. The sweet and salty flavored popcorn was better than A-OK (3.5 stars), but the salted caramel flavored popcorn was the "bomb" (4 stars). Forget Orville Redenbacher's microwave popcorn and the other brands of microwave popcorn that I have been eating all these years. Angie's popcorn is the perfect healthy snack and I am so glad I found it on the grocery shelf. I look forward in trying their white cheddar flavored popcorn. The other flavored popcorn that Angie has is sweet and spicy (cayenne and cumin). Finally, Angie's tasty popcorn has me convinced to stick with them. Besides the telephone number listed above, they also have a toll free number - 1.888.982.4984.
