We hired the company for a large family beach photo session while vacationing in Hilton Head and made a significant investment expecting professional guidance and high-quality images. While the photographer was friendly, it became clear during the session that she had very limited experience. There was little direction for posing, arranging a large family group, or creating natural interactions, leaving us feeling unsure of what to do throughout the session. When we received the gallery, many of the images lacked the quality and composition we would expect from a professional photography service. What was most disappointing, however, was the complete lack of customer service afterward. I sent a detailed, respectful email outlining our concerns and requesting a discussion about our experience, but I never received any response from anyone on the team. We regularly invest in professional family photography both at home and while traveling, and this was one of the most disappointing experiences we've had. Based on the quality of the photos and the lack of follow-up, I would not recommend this company.

The shoot was fun and we happened to be booked at sunset and were treated to the full moon rising! Joyce was able to capture shots of us with the moon in the background! After the shoot one of the team members gave my sister the squeaky toy frog. She has that frog with her 24/7 since the shoot. Priceless!

Here's the deal...unless you are willing to spend at minimum $500 on just a COUPLE photos don't pay the sitting fee. We were very shocked to see the prices of the photos and although they are professionally done the price is pretty outstanding. The only way to get rights to a CD with printing privileges is to pay for their $1,050 package, or upgrade your current package for an additional $200 (the cheapest package is $375 and includes 11x14, 2 8x10s, and 2 5x7s). The biggest photo you can get with their packages is also a 20x24. To upgrade to 24x30 it is going to be an additional $200 and to upgrade to 30x40 an additional $300. Again, good photographers, be prepared to spend an arm and a leg...and another arm.

Throughout the entire process leading up to our wedding day, Raymond communicated with us non-stop and was extremely professional at every stage. We never left our meetings with questions left unanswered. He is a one-man team and was able to handle every detail we wanted to capture on our special day. We chose a few locations of where we wanted our engagement photos taken and Raymond gave us his pros and cons of each. Trusting his knowledge we chose a remote location in Ojai, California. Woodsy, whimsical, nature were the setting/vibes we were shooting for. Wow! The pictures came out better than we could have ever imagined! Impressed as ever with our engagement pictures, we knew Raymond was our guy for the wedding day. Raymond gave us good advice for posing directions that felt natural. He was able to capture genuine emotions of all of our wedding guests. He was such an ease to work with, we highly recommend him to anyone needing photography work. The final images exceeded our expectations and then some. We are obsessed with the final results and the quality of the images are top notch. He gladly fit us in the following week and we were able to get so many images out of our session. He is laid back and even asked if we had any pose ideas that we wanted from our session. He did so well with our 5 month old son and was extremely patient with the three of us. It's not easy photographing a 5 month old seeking nap time, but Raymond did it and all the images came out beautiful. However, I looked at their work and talked to Andrew (the owner), and it seemed good to go. They arrived promptly at my wedding and could not have been more professional, even with dealing with my very bossy and very pregnant matron of honor/sister/wedding photographer. They did a great job getting so many beautiful shots without feeling intrusive or in the way at all. My family and I talked about how great they were for days after. I got my video back in a month, which was SO FAST, especially when competitors said it could take 3-4 months. The video was almost perfect. I wanted to make some very, very, very minor changes and Andrew was extremely responsive. He made them in less than a day and talked to me about how he makes sure all the shots match with the music, so we could have the absolute perfect video. If I could do it over again, I would 100% use Coastal Videography and cannot recommend them highly enough. If you need a videographer, use them, and you won't be disappointed!
