From the very beginning, we felt the genuine love and care from Eliana and her wonderful staff. The environment at Sweet Sunshine is incredibly positive and uplifting. Eliana has created a nurturing space where kids can thrive. The programming is outstanding, thanks to a dedicated preschool teacher and a range of classes from art, soccer, yoga, Spanish, and music. Eliana also serves 3-4 home cooked, hot meals a day (breakfast, snack, lunch, early dinner). Our kids came home talking about salmon curry and fried rice, and thanks to Eliana, they are reaching their daily vegetable intake. Eliana makes holidays truly special with fantastic parties that parents are invited to. These events are well-organized, fun, and every child leaves with packed gift bags. They cook delicious, healthy homemade meals every day, and I love that I don't have to worry about what she's eating or having to pack a lunch box. The program is Montessori-like mixed-age setup, which has been wonderful for her development. When she was little, she learned so much from the older kids; now that she's older, she gets to be the leader and helper. They hire external teachers that do a great job incorporating preschool-style learning, and her vocabulary has grown so much that we barely needed to teach her at home! It's also like a Spanish bilingual school. She's picked up quite a few Spanish words just from being immersed in the environment, which has been such an amazing bonus. The hours are long and flexible, and the school holiday schedule is reasonable, good for working parents. We feel so lucky to have found Little Angels. Both of my children attended Little Angels from the time they were infants, and it's truly been the most nurturing, loving, and supportive environment we could have hoped for. The teachers are incredible--they know every child so well and treat them with such warmth and patience. One of the things I've always appreciated is how intentional they are with the activities and curriculum. From art and music to yoga and early learning, my kids have grown so much academically and socially. I also loved that the infants have their own dedicated play area--it gave me such peace of mind when my kids were tiny. As they got older, they were always excited to go to daycare, running in with huge smiles every morning and knowing every teacher by name. We've made so many wonderful memories and lasting friendships through Little Angels. With me and my husband going back to work full-time and with no help around, we were under pressure to find something new and reliable for our 9-month old daughter then! But we were so fortunate to have found Sarah and the fact that she had an opening for an infant (we all know how difficult it is to find a good daycare in Marin!) worked for us. At 9 months, our baby, Reva,was going through separation anxiety. She instantly bonded with Sarah the day we went to visit her for the first time. After we started full time at the day care, Sarah went above and beyond to hold Reva and slowly transition her to meet and become acquainted with the other folks and babies at the day care. They are also super flexible with pick-up and drop off which is a huge plus given how our work schedules were! Love their amazing backyard as well where the kids have a blast. They also send regular updates via an app and lots of pictures. The webcam option was also a huge help especially for the first few days when I used to be so anxious at work thinking about my baby! This is a very relaxed and loving day care and we are so glad that it worked out for us! Unfortunately, we are moving out-of-state and have to leave the day care within a month. We really hope to find a day care like Tamalpais Tots on the east coast!

From watching caterpillars transform into butterflies to making personalized Mother's Day crafts (I still have the German handprint card on our fridge!), every experience is designed with care and intention. Her two longtime caregivers, Esly and Yomara, have been with her for many years, which speaks volumes, especially in an industry where turnover can be high. Their consistency and warmth gave our children such a strong sense of comfort and trust. Daily updates and photos were always a highlight, and communication, whether about an illness or the rare small boo-boo, was impeccable. Our kids thrived at Bright Start. They also go out in a buggy to the nearby park on nice days which is not something that we have seen with other school options in the neighborhood. Finally, the owner has an AS degree in early childhood education which adds to the value of this school as this is not common with home daycares. Every day we drop him off we can feel good knowing that our son is in great hands and developing his social, emotional, and cognitive skills all while having a great time!

Never once did I worry about her because I knew she was loved, respected, and taken care of. Debbie is personable, flexible and a great communicator. My 1.5 year old baby only attended this daycare for a few months and ended up with her two front teeth broken after she was sent to a park with 3 other toddlers under the supervision of an underage girl. This girl was "working" for Mary's Angels because she is Mary's niece; but the State of California told me she was underaged and should have never been taking care of the children alone. She was supposed to be supervised. After i spoke with the State of California we found out that this daycare had several violations that were not informed to us (even though the State required them to do so). After the accident, the state has done 6 unannounced visits (in basically a year) and every time they have had a violation related to the ration of children and staff. They always have too many children because they want the money. They don't care about the kids. See the picture for their facility number and record of all visits, complaints and violations. I have pictures and videos sent to me by one of their staff member showing kids left crying none stop during really long time outs (never mind that these are babies and toddlers... I was told their time outs were about 15 mins to 30 mins)... After my daughter left this daycare she was terrified of loud noises because Mary is constantly yelling at the babies; she started bitting off her nails because she had constant anxiety. We took her to the doctor and she said it was because of the traumatic experience at the daycare. I don't believe anyone want their babies to go through something similar! Parents, your babies are your treasure. Do your research. This daycare looks good on yelp but that's not the reality.
