The airy cabin-like cafe has WiFi, good toilets, and there is an outdoor eating area as well, though it can get very busy. Staff are down to earth and friendly (it's popular with truckers, as well as families). The very traditional menu comprises all-day breakfasts, mixed grills, burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, omelettes, jacket potatoes and (of course) chips; and traditional puddings for dessert. There's quite an extensive vegetarian menu as well. It offers a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including proper mugs of tea. Prices are very reasonable - mains run from £6.50 up to a steak dinner at £10.95.

When we arrived we were asked if we had reservations and I can see why. The restaurant is very small. Although we didn't have reservations we didn't have a problem and were seated. There is a front room with a small bar and another room in the rear. There is also seating outside for nice days. We sat in the room in the back. Service was excellent here and so was the food. We let our waitress know that we were catching a flight in Stansted and she helped us avoid the traffic around Stonehenge. She was so helpful she actually wrote out turn by turn directions for us. If you're in the area definitely stop by. So glad we came here instead of eating at the cafeteria at Stonehenge.

The service was quick despite being busy. Comfortable, family friendly and the food looked and tasted great. Lacking on facilities... well, kind of. The toilets were a bit grubby, but they had heavy footfall so... meh, maybe a short slip. No WiFi. Floors were gross. I suppose I'm not selling it well, but tbh the food and service were bloody great! The actual environment could do with some attention.

This was a welcome lunch stop after seeing Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral on a sunny summer day, and a nice place for restorative drink and sustenance. Also, an ideal spot to try some traditional pub dishes - one of my daughters tried the bangers and mash; another had the fish and chips (not all of us went with pub grub - my eldest daughter had a good ole American cheeseburger while my wife had some new-agey quinoa salad and stuff.
