New name. Same goals! Alere Jiu Jitsu Academy (formerly Warrior BJJ) is still the same incredible school -- same coaches, same teammates, same mission. The name may have changed, but the commitment to high-level training, strong community, and student growth has not. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, kid or adult, this academy provides a welcoming and challenging environment to learn and improve. Proud to be part of this team!

It has been over 4 years since my daughter joined Alere Jiujitsu and I've seen her skills and confidence grew not only in Jiujitsu but also outside of the gym. The coaches continues to inspire and motivate her to be the best that she can be. Alere teaches not only Jiujitsu but life lessons that can be applied to our everyday lives.

I've had the opportunity to train here since early this January 2025, coming from other gyms and it's always a good time here. The teaching of the night class by Coach Chris really gets you to grasp the concept and techniques to learn at all levels, especially as a white belt. Highly recommended to my friends and coworkers to hit the matts!!

Very welcoming and high quality BJJ academy! I joined after taking over my son's membership in 2023 and never stopped coming. As a woman on the shorter side, I appreciate how most of the guys are focused on using technique instead of strength during rolls. Additionally, the fellow women students are very supportive and great to network with! When it's time for upcoming competitions, the coaches ensure the level of instruction suits both the competitors and hobbyists. This is a wonderful academy for the whole family to train.

What first brought me to Alere in June of 2025 was the glowing reviews on yelp. It seemed to be exactly what i was looking for as someone who wanted a hobby and a community (since I'm from Ohio and moved to California) my experience has been nothing short of amazing. The people, the coaching and the energy are all amazing. I have enjoyed everything. I have even officially converted to social media algorithms to jiu jitsu and cats. The atmosphere is one of teaching and learning. I leave every class more confident than the last and feeling like i have so much more to learn and it keeps me excited. Highly recommend. You might just find a new passion and a new friend group!

New name, same goals. Alere Jiu Jitsu is still run by the same amazing people who value community and personal growth over everything. Their commitment to high-level training, coaching, and growth is unmatched. I've personally been training here since the start of my own jiujitsu journey and never want to leave. The dedication shown by the coaches, and the community they have created, is second-to-none. Come try a class, for you and/or your kid, you won't regret it!

The instruction was the real star here; Jorge went over something basic in principle but nuanced in execution.

But Coach Alex is simply fantastic with kids and instructing them in the most positive way. I was a little concerned about the potential injuries and chokeholds in BJj, but the coaches are so good at watching the kids closely and making sure kids stay safe. There are several assistant coaches that vary depending on be day, and all are excellent and promote learning, safety and positivity. The dojo is spacious and clean. I honestly can't say enough good things. There are classes for the whole age range of kids and adults. I never thought my girls would do BJJ and I have to say, it's been a great experience--my kids used to get nervous going, bc again, physically grappling with another kid was an alien concept to them, but now they are pretty comfortable and I can see how empowered they feel after each class. Their stamina and physical fitness are much improved--they used to complain about PE in school but now, they have no problems running the laps, doing pushups, etc. If you are a parent looking for a new activity for your kid that will help with not only their physical wellness but also really promote feeling confident and empowered, Warriors BJJ under Coach Alex is a fantastic option, great for both girls as well as boys!
