I couldn't speak more highly of Thaddeus and his work as a photographer. Not only is he a true…read moreartist, but he's professional, magnetic, funny, and affable. Getting one's headshots done can feel scary. I was nervous going into it, but the minute I arrived all my guards came down because Thaddeus made me feel safe and secure, sexy and beautiful. He is a natural born teacher and taught me so much prior to the shoot about what was expected of me. For example, coming prepared is his number one request. When booking with Thad you're entering into a symbiotic relationship where both of you contribute.
My headshot experience was unique in that what I wanted to achieve was two-fold: to get business and actor headshots (both theatrical & commercial).
During our initial consultation I learned from Thad that in my case, I would be playing three roles for the shoot: the talent, artistic director, and fashion stylist.
In order for me to succeed at the latter two Thad gave me a step-by-step guide: I needed to create a Pinterest board, identify outfits that inspired me, pull looks from my own closet, print inspo pictures and pair them with each of my looks, and of course hang my clothing and transport them in garment bags.
It may sound like a lot of work, and it is, but it is so worth it bc Thaddeus will come just as prepared if not more with his own work completed (photography-wise) not to mention his years of experience and countless stories on the job including glamorous tales and wildly funny tribulations (the kind that enough time has passed for one to be able to laugh at them) from his time in NYC. Also, as I said, my photoshoot was unique as I was responsible for the preparations. Typically, Thaddeus is hired for major commercial shoots or fashion magazines where there are whole teams of people hired to assist.
Not only did he teach me how to prepare, but Thaddeus also gave me the gift of directing me throughout my shoot. Having stepped away from the acting world to build my business experience, I felt a little rusty. My thoughts included, "Do I have what it takes? Will I still have the acting chops? Am I good, capable, or pretty enough?" The answer was yes to all. I had everything I needed inside me for the shoot to be a success and I give Thaddeus credit for bringing it out in me.
Since I have begun this diatribe, I'll explain. Currently, as a 33-year-old woman, I am on a journey to know and fall in love with myself, believing in myself all on my own. And that's why my photoshoot was so powerful. Thaddeus believed in me before I did. He did so because he cares and that's evident in him contributing his art, his photography, and his good and wise nature to the world. Thaddeus' standards of excellence are so high that you will see it and feel it the moment you meet him, the moment you walk into his convivial, clean, professional photography studio you will know you're in the right place. You will rise to the level of excellence Thaddeus exudes because you won't be able to deny its surrounding power and presence. Thaddeus' hard work and desire to continue working until things are just right is an inspiration. My headshots turned out so beautifully and dynamically.
