The relief of having a realtor I could talk openly with, ask my questions, and I knew would get me the best outcome was such a dream. After meeting with several realtors, I immediately felt Suman was the right choice for us. Her presence was comfortable and friendly, but also so professional and knowledgable. I instantly felt her level of experience and trusted she could handle whatever was thrown at her. (Turns out our house through a lot at her.) She thoroughly reviewed the upgrades we had already made to our home, happily provided input on paint colors and other aesthetic choices, and personally managed the painters and carpeting company we hired, and she connected us with an excellent stagers, inspectors and cleaning team. (The cleaning team did an AMAZING job!) We had to leave town prior to listing and we literally handed the keys to Suman and she handled everything from there. During the showing process she called us regularly with updates and insight, was incredibly responsive to any questions we had, and helped us make decisions like when to hire additional inspections, extend the deadline for the offer, etc. I never felt any pressure on decisions, but she provided the information and an opinion when I asked her for one. The outcome was amazing. We got an aggressive offer far above what we were expecting! During the close process there were an almost comical number of complications (none of them were anyone's fault) and Suman provided me updates after she pre-negotiated each one with the buyers on my behalf. She always arrived with detailed information, solutions, options, and a positive attitude that we could find our way through it. I honestly thought we would have to go back to market but she got our deal closed without a single concession or reduction in price! It's such a small thing, but I honestly feel like we became friends in the process. Through a four month prep-listing-closing process I trusted she would find us the best outcomes and honestly worried about the sale very little. She made everything so easy. Definitely hire her.

DISINGENUOUS, LIAR, AVOID UPASANA!! Read on…read more.. Upasana is one of the most disingenuous people I have met. I was a first time buyer and I found a new condo to purchase online and a friend recommended Upasana, so I reached out to her to be my realtor. She did not assist one bit in the purchase (what kind of creditors to choose for the mortgage, how to negotiate with creditors, what other potential houses to look at etc). In some of the new condo purchases, the builder gives a fixed cashback to the realtor and the realtor is free to share the cashback with the buyer. She did not dicuss about cashback and avoided topics on it until I visited the condo with her in person. I later found our that the first time a buyer visits in person to view a condo, the buyer records the name of the realtor as the realtor and there is no way to change the same. She then brought up the topic of cashback and lied to me that no such cashback exists. When I found out from the buyer that indeed there was a cashback, some of the things she said to dissuade me were "Money is not everything", "I do not give cashback since that is my 'policy'", "Her former buyer in mission hills called her during a fire, other agents cheat a lot and she's not like them". When I pursuaded her, she agreed to give a cashback which was only 50% of the usual cashback that a buyer gets from realtors. Other times she lied to me: I was travelling so I could not visit the condo during construction, so when I requested her to visit the same, she lied to me that it is illegal for a non-owner to visit - only to be proven wrong again. She was also in a hurry to get me to complete the contract, despite being my realtor and did not help whatsoever in any negotiations processes. I would strongly discourage anyone to use her as a realtor.
