My wife and I cannot thank Alex, Mal and Jorge enough for everything they did on our big day. You guys went above and beyond what we could ever imagine. Whether it was Mal helping my wife while she was getting ready, or Alex helping close the tent walls during the reception and so much more. And none of that was their responsibility, but it certainly made a huge difference! We had so many people tell us just how awesome they were! When it comes to photography, Alex and Mal are hands down the best of the best. During engagement photos, they made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and had the most creative ideas for what would make the best photos. The same goes for our wedding photos and video. All three of them were very punctual and organized on our wedding day. At times, I felt they were doing more to keep everything on schedule than our wedding planner. They were super responsive (even during busy wedding season!) and eased our nerves about having no idea where we wanted our photos done. I don't even know where to start with Alex and Mal! They are SO friendly, professional, funny, easy-going. All the things you want in photographers to make you feel at ease and comfortable with 'the paparazzi' as Alex puts it. I used to live in CLT and discovered Alex's photos on social media and always really loved his city photography/style. When I moved to Michigan and got engaged - I was so happy to hire them and fly them out out for our wedding in Detroit! Beforehand, we travelled to Charlotte for our engagement pictures. The forecast said RAIN but Alex was so accommodating, risking the weather since we were only in town for the day. Even though we were hustling from one spot to the next trying to beat the rain, he made it seem very low stress, and assured us we'd have enough shots (which we did!). For our wedding, Mal and Alex once again brought low-stress and comfort to the whole process. I was worried about feeling awkward in front of the camera, but that never happened. They are open to all suggestions, very flexible. Helped keep the wedding party on track in getting all our shots done before the ceremony. They even helped coordinate with my husband/friend to surprise me with my dog during our first look. The pictures are exactly what we wanted - a little bit of cityscape, vibrant colors, emotion was captured. They are communicative, easy to get a hold of, very responsive, and give you direct access to all the photos so it's easy to save/download/print. I booked one of Alex and Mallory's photo tours for my mom and myself. We had a great time shooting around Charlotte. Started off with a light brunch at the rooftop of Ascend and took some amazing skyline photos. Alex was a great tour guide showing me spots that I never thought about shooting even after living here for 7 years. Additionally Alex was great at instructing the photographers on using their cameras in manual mode and showed us his puddle shot techniques as well.
