As part of my honeymoon we went to several fine dining establishments and amongst the ones in Europe, Tantris was one of our stops. The flavor, the service and the ambiance were all there. From our first bites, all of us could tell that it would be a great meal. At the end of the dinner we got to meet with Chef Ben Chmura and to see the kitchen. It was so impressive to see how the kitchen operates for all 3 establishments(Tantris, Bar Tantris and DNA) I thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience here and I don't think there was a single dish that I didn't enjoy. I would definitely make my way out here again.

The staff seem more worried about the process than the client. There several uncomfortable interactions, but worst of all, is the sommelier. I have not been spoken down to by a somm in many years. When I caught him and shut him down he stood like a deer in the headlights. He ruined my experience. Some, perhaps many, will enjoy this restaurant. Not me.

The Pikalia was an assortment of hot appetizers including breaded eggplant/zucchini, grilled peppers, and a crispy roll stuffed with cheese. Finally, we had the Horiatiki, a classic Greek salad made of chopped cucumbers, tomato, red onions, peppers, and olives, topped with blocks of feta cheese, olive oil, and oregano. The endless flow of bubbles made it look more like champagne, but it's crisp balance of sweet and dry made it a perfect Riesling. A great way to ease into a German vacation!
