Alex and his nail techs are amazing! I have been going her for a year now and cant bare go anywhere else! There is free parking outside, freshly paved parking lot, and PLENTY of nail colors to choose from! It is around the same price as average but may seem a bit expensive to some. I got a full set (gel & design) for $45 and spa pedicure for $26... however they do an amazing job and can basically do any design you bring in! I am very particular and I am always satisfied here The salon itself is clean, has comfy chairs, and a welcoming presence. Definitely follow Alex on ig @ alexvo_nails to see what he can do! No attention to detail with nail shape or request to make them all the same length. Not only were they uneven but the paint didn't cover my entire nail! Four days later, my gel manicure chipped and peeled. I wasted my time and $45. Unfortunate, because I would've been a repeat client. Save your time and money!! read more

I went today and they did my nails horrible The lady who did my pedicure never cut my nails and my cuticles, she put like 5 coats and the nail look super thick. I also asked for a dip manicure and the lady did only gel instead of dip, the nail polish was all over my skin and it was lifting, she never took my cuticles out either and it look like a 5 year old kid did my nails. I will not recommend this salon I'm very unsatisfied. I'm never coming back. read more

I came here yesterday because Vicki used to do my nails in south Tampa and she's the best, so I had to follow her here. I have never been so happy with my nails, they are so perfect and exactly what I want. It's so rare to find people that genuinely care about how your nails look. Getting my nails done is usually a stressful experience for me because I'm a perfectionist, but I can relax here and know it will turn out perfectly. Thank you Vicki! I also had a pedicure and it was great. I was watching all of the nail techs that day and all of their work is outstanding. Definitely come here if you want beautiful nails, and it seems they can tackle any nail design challenge and give you those Instagram worthy nails. I found Alex on instagram and I chose to go get my nails done there because I was impressed by his work. Alex did my nails good but I must say that he was extremely rude to me. After asking me for a picture of the nails I wanted (I showed him one of his recent works on his ig page) he thought that it was my profile and out of nowhere he accused me of being a nail artist who stole his work.I was in shock..I mean I don't even know how to put my own nail polish on!! I still tried to be really polite. I even asked if I said something wrong and I tried to explain that I took the picture I showed him from his profile but he completely ignored me. An awful experience !! Everyone in the room was embarrassed by his attitude. I hope he doesn't treat his costumers the way he treated me because if that's the case he doesn't deserve not even one of your dollars ladies!! read more

Best nail salon experience I've had in Tampa! The layout of this nail salon feels for open and friendly, not like tiny work stations like others. They have nice music playing, TV on, and it's very clean. As for the staff - they are all so friendly! Greeted at the door with a friendly smile and the other nail technicians are friendly as well even if you aren't their client. They get very busy quickly, which shows the talent of their technicians. They have an array of Dip Powders, Gel, and Nail Polish colors. As for the manicure experience: I get the Dip Powder which requires a decent amount of time with the dremels, at other places I would get cuts (I've left a different salon with literally a cut on each finger) so I expected to maybe get 1 or 2. But I had none, no cuts no pain nothing uncomfortable. The shaping of my nail is always perfect and matches the inspiration pictures I show. And my nails are always perfect and shiny. I haven't done a pedicure yet but they certainly take their time and don't rush it like I've seen at other places, will definitely try that next! read more

Went on Friday like 4 days ago. I wasn't going to write a review, but looking at my nails, I had to take the time out. I paid $45 + tip for gel acrylics. I'm not sure if the girl was new or was new to doing acrylics. My nails look bumpy and I don't know why. I've gotten acrylics before somewhere else and they never looked like that. The guy (owner i think) had to help her file my nails down probably because she was new. She literally was cutting my fingers while cutting nails with the scissors. Like it would pinch and hurt. I was bleeding on two fingers and got a cut with nail filer. Skin around my nails would kinda burn if I used warm water. She was going so hard around my nails while filing.But I have high pain tolerance so it's okay but the nails doesn't look okay. I wanted the guy to do my nails after looking at the reviews but he was busy. I think he shouldn't let nail tech do acrylics if they aren't good at it. I would rather wait :( read more

I've been receiving services with Alex for years, even before he opened his own nail salon. I'm very disappointed in his growth as a person and business owner. After his clientale grew he has become mean and dismissive and he is not appreciative of his long time, supportive, clients. He no longer even honors your request for a certain nail tech. Alex needs to realize that his clients are responsible for his success and remember to try and please the customer not his ego. Don't just raise your prices, also raise your customer service. read more

I would give this nail salon a 5-star just for the nail art because it's absolutely beautiful and unique. However I've been to this shop for a total of 3 times and I'm certain that I'm never coming back. I have two problems that I don't will be corrected or will just take time for the correction. The first problem is the attitude of the owner. The second time I went to the shop I came a bit later in the day so of course it was full. I asked the owner if I could wait for him to do my nails , this is because I'm very picky when it comes to the quality of my nails especially since the prices of this service is always around $40 to almost $100. He told me that he had 3 ladies waiting for him already and if he added me to the wait list then he'd have to close the shop later than usual. Then he told me to go home and come back the next day when he's not busy, which is extremely rude. But I kept my cool and told him I don't mind waiting for a specific nail tech. A different nail tech was available but I didn't go to her because I preach told him that I'm waiting for a specific nail tech now, he continuously kept trying to get me to the available nail tech with such aggression that other clients were starting to watch me and listen to our conversation. Again he told me I could go home and they don't do appointments for Friday, again just rude. He took so long on the lady's hand that one of the girls that was waiting for impatient and went to the available nail tech. You could tell she was pissed because we were both waiting at least almost 2 hours and she kept glancing over at him. He didn't apologize or even acknowledge her. When that happened you could also tell he was more relaxed because In his head he didn't have anymore girls waiting on him so now he started to work really really slow on the lady's nails. I went to the black girl next to him and she was doing my nails. After at least an hour later there was one more lady in the shop sitting in the chairs for your feet. He didn't even realize that he actually had 4 girls that was waiting on him so he had to leave the shop later than usual anyway. Me and my mum both agreed that was karma for him. My second problem is the black lady that has been doing my nails for those 3 times isn't too good with shaping and putting the acrylic nails on me. My nails aren't coffin shaped and has a budge and they keep breaking. At first I figured it's my fault because my nails are medium long and I work at a hotel so I didn't think too much about it the first time my nails broke. But it seems like every time I go to home they break within a week in the SAME exact spot for each different nail that has cracked or snapped in half. That is not a coincidence. The nails keep breaking in the spot where the nail tech would put the nail glue. My guess is that she doesn't put enough glue there or the acrylic isn't thick enough. Now I have to spend money again to fix 3 more broken nails. The nails that I had someone else fix are totally fine so I know it's not a coincidence. Don't get me wrong she's beautiful and funny and conversational. However I think she may need training on shaping nails and placing the acrylic on the real nails. I'll find a new shop in Clearwater. My advice is come early if you want the owner and have him place the acrylic on your nails before you go to the black lady. Sorry for the bad review but it gets expensive to keep fixing broken nails. read more

Okay, so I use to love going to Alex, great service, great outcome, and small talk. BUT this last time I went he tells me "Don't book an appointment with him unless I'm getting long nails or a design" I was astonished! I wanted to walk out and leave and not get any service because I had never felt so disrespected in my life, and plus I needed my nails done for my baby shower! He then proceeds to tell me he won't do my nails, and I asked him how is that fair when I booked my appointment two weeks in advanced?! Listen I'm all for growth but you're not going to tell me to go to another tech who has way less experience than you, because "You could be doing someone else's nails who is getting a design" That's just greedy! I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOU! And furthermore watch who does your pedicure every time I go it's never lest than a hour it's always an hour plus and the new woman clearly has no experience either a more experienced tech had to finish polishing my toes! Went through all of this just to pay $90 for a crappy service!! read more
