I donot recommend this company!!! Beware!!! Seems like I am not the only one to be totally dissatisfied with thier services.

I ordered 6 yards of screened top soil with the intention of growing grass in a section of my yard. Verified with the woman on the phone that it was screened. She assured me it was (and I will add was extremely polite). Delivery was on time and the driver of the truck was also polite. Unfortunately the product was terrible. The "soil" was a gray sand. Beware of Alfonza Landscape Supercenter on Broad River Rd and Kinnerly Rd. After talking about a mulch problem they treated me like "you already bought it so it's your problem now" . They actually told me to go turn all the mulch over because the color ran to the bottom. WHAT?!?! So they want me to spend 4 hours of billable time correcting a problem they caused and not get paid for it??? The lady at the desk walked outside, got in her car, and left while I was still trying to talk to her about it. I went back inside and asked the other guy what his coworker's name was and he refused to give it to me. I then showed him the photos and he just laughed and said he didn't want to get involved. This is a landscape supply company that doesn't stand behind what they sell for even a week. This is not the way to treat customers. I will avoid them from now on at all cost and you may want to reconsider doing business with them as well. See photos below. Update! I DO NOT recommend Alfonza's Landscape Suprctr on Broad River Rd In Irmo. I was told many things that were not true upon purchase such as that 1 yard of THIS material would cover almost 200 square feet. After a delivery of what was supposed to be 4 yards of recycled river rock, we barely had enough quality material to cover that amount and are now left with this pile of dirt in our driveway. (I called the office the second I saw the dump truck drop a half a load of dirt into my driveway). After refusal to partially refund us, remove the dirt pile, OR deliver another yard of more top rock (as promised by the loader prior to my cash purchase), I was told that I'd be faced with a lawsuit if I continued to share my negative experience and pictures. I can't speak about the landscaping service, as I used Alfonza for tree removal. I'm not one who normally feels compelled to write reviews, but I am one who seeks them out before using someone for house work or a large purchase. I can tell you that I am extremely impressed with the quality of work that I received from Alfonza. He removed 3 large pine trees in very close proximity to my home. A cordial group of 4 gentleman swiftly had all the trees down in one day. This morning they are here grinding stumps and doing probably what I am most impressed about--cleaning up! The operation from start to finish was extremely organized, professional, and timely. I had another company remove a pine tree in the rear of my house and the fallen timbers lay stacked on the side of the road for several days. NOT Alfonza's! They are here right now picking these up to haul away. I highly recommend if you need any trees removed--Alfonza is your guy. read more

We've ordered mulch twice from Alfonza's and never had an issue. We will continue to utilize their services as needed.

My next door neighbor had several trees cut down by this so called business. I got home from work to discover all of my things had been moved and not put back in place. I really like the people on the ground that work for this person. They push the company line real well. The owner is a bum. He sells inferior products and charges a premium price. I called a bunch of landscape supply places for 10 yards of cypress mulch delivered to my home. Anfonza was the least expensive in the area so I went with them. The folks on the phone were courteous and informative. The driver called before he came by, he was prompt, friendly and delivered the mulch pile exactly where I wanted it. The mulch itself was great quality. What more can I say? Order your mulch, sand, gravel and pine-straw from these folks and you wont be disappointed. Oh, and plan to pay with cash - it saves you a few dollars. read more

We recently ordered mulch and stone from these guys. Had used in the past so figured we would use again. We had asked for the gravel to be dragged but was told this could be done for some reason so needless to say ended up doing extra shoveling we had not planned. Plus the second type of stone we ordered had a lot of dirt and other debris in it so were not happy with this. Lastly we live within 25 miles and had seen a free deliverly charge so when we got the receipt were spurprise to see not just one 25.00 charge but a charge for each load delivered for an additional 75.00. We will not be using this company again. read more

I just called to ask for an estimate for removal of overgrown foundation shrubs. Was told that's not what they do but an estimate is $40 which will be applied to the work. I've gotten other estimates before and never been charged. I may just use them for delivering mulch. read more

They are fine for mulch and dirt. However, they are terrible on irrigation repairs. Had them come out three times and still not fixed. Won't return my call to get a resolution. Buyer beware! read more

I ordered a mulch refresh on my property before Spring hit. This consisted of many yards of red mulch in my front and back yards. The finished job was beautiful HOWEVER once Spring broke and the weather started to get warm, I now have an abundance of weed growth in all of the mulched areas. I have never had a weed issue because I manicure my lawn and property with near perfection. I have spent countless hours spraying weed control and weed killer as well as weed whacking the weeds but they continue to grow back. After my fourth attempt failed, I reached out to the owner. He acted as if he didn't want to be bothered with resolving this issue. He stated that he would make a visit to my property during the week to take a look; but, five days after he made this statement, he has not appeared. Lastly, they used my driveway as a dumping ground as they distributed the mulch. The red mulch stained my driveway since they did not use a tarp and I haven't been able to remove the stain. Since he has not taken an approach to try to resolve this issue, I do not recommend this company and will not use them again in the future. read more
