Called on fitting day as no one had arrived by 15.30, told it was my fault for changing the booking, fitter arrived, had not got the strips we had requested, said they did not know!! despite me seeing it been written in the diary!! Fitter was helpful but he was a sub contractor, he had to return the next day to finish a small job. Would not recommend buying here, if you want good service, let alone a good price as they are not cheap, unlike the carpet!

The store mainly has building supplies at what seem to be quite reasonable prices. The staff seem to be fairly knowledgeable about the shop and were helpful in finding anything that I could not find. The shop never seems to get very busy so it is easier to find what you are looking for in camparision with other DIY and building suppliers in the area. Whickes are always worth a look if you are doing any building work.

For starters when you get there you have to walk up a flight of very utilitarian stairs before you see anything to write home about but once you go into their enormous hall of mountains of fabrics in edible colours, I warn you, you'll be like a little kid in Santas Grotto. It is just sooo incredibly huge, there are fabrics and yarns and notions I had never seen before. The colours were like something out of an old masters painting. It took all my effort to tear myself away. I thought places like this only existed in America....TG we have this........a real emporium!

The stores sells a bit of everything - pictures, frames, craft things, books, toys, homewares, kitchen wares, pet stuff, DIY, gifts, sweets, chocs, biscuits and probably more I simply can't recall right now! Mostly seems to be very good prices and I generally leave with something even if I have just gone for a look on the way somewhere else. It has a beautiful range of Christmas products this year at very reasonable prices, which I hope will return every year. Mostly easy to access, though I did have to fight my way round with a trolley a couple of times due to stock being on the floor (boxed to go out). Staff seem friendly and helpful but I think sometimes they could do with more tills open as do have to queue occasionally when empty tills. Quite a lot of parking, only had a problem parking on the opening weekend, been fine apart from that.
