On Labor Day long weekend I got a speeding ticket with points. Since I officially nominated them as my attorney for this case just a day before my court date (not mandatory appearance) they were able to postpone the date. I had to transfer the fees online via Paypal and got instant acknowledgment from Kim that the payments were received. Today was hearing on my case and as promised they were able reduce the points (to zero) with a penalty. As soon as hearing was done in the court, Attorney France called me on my cell and left a voicemail. He again called me back on my office phone to let me know the hearing and outcome in person to give first hand information. I am very happy that everything in my case went smooth. Based on that good experience, I again sought his help in writing up my own estate plan. I went in with a fixed idea of what I needed based on what I knew other people had. After reviewing my estate, Michael explained how I didn't need what I assumed I did, and was able to meet my needs for a fraction of what I could have spent for a more complicated set-up. His estimate for setting up a trust (which I ultimately didn't need) was 1/2 the price that my dad paid to set up his trust. We met with Tina and the first meeting/consult should have been our last and we should have walked out. Do NOT think for a minute that you are all set when something happens. She insisted on speaking to our dad alone, as it is "my policy". Our dad was very hard of hearing, my brother and I were very involved in all of his affairs and care. She insisted that we leave the room even after my dad requested three times that he wanted us to stay. After that first meeting, thank goodness my dad still had his faculties and realized that when she talked to him alone, somehow 1/3 of his estate was to go to a charity that he had mentioned he wanted a donation to go to. He called the office the very next business day and corrected that after he realized what she hasd proposed. Thank goodness he realized it. Also, the plans did nothing to protect his assets. We are still dealing with probate, and we had to hire another attorney to help sort out this mess and I am still dealing with it. It was a huge waste of money and time. This NEVER should have happened. Sadly we trusted her. I have now had THREE separate financial advisors from three different firms tell me that there is no way they would recommend her. If you are considering it, you better read the reviews and you better find someone else. ​

Chuck brought up an additional option for my dad: the quit deed. This was the cheaper option, but also had some drawbacks. The thing that my dad found so admirable was that it was the cheaper of the two options, and Chuck was happy to put it on the table. After deciding the plan of action, Chuck had the paperwork ready to go in no time flat. My dad also used Chuck to do a power of attorney for his finances and health. This paperwork was also quick and painless. Overall, my dad was extremely pleased w/ Chuck's services. He also found the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. When we went to drop off the paperwork, I stayed in the car while he dropped it off - and he was back before I blinked my eyes. Love that!
