If you have a dog who is testing every last nerve you have, call Cheryl Kocher at Raise The Bar Dog…read moreTraining in Cincinnati. We did, and it changed our home. Our puppy, Buster, came with the full menu: separation anxiety, jumping on everyone who walked through the door, pulling on the leash, barking at everything, and almost no obedience. We were overwhelmed. Cheryl came to our house and, over several months of at-home training, turned that around. The difference is night and day. Buster is calmer, more obedient, walks nicely, and is finally a joy instead of a project. Cheryl has been training dogs for many years, and it shows. She is kind, patient, professional, and clearly loves dogs--and animals in general. She didn't just give us a list of commands. She taught us how to work with Buster in our own home, which made the training stick. She has been a real blessing to our family. If you have been looking for an outstanding trainer, do not keep searching. Call Raise The Bar Dog Training and speak directly with Cheryl Kocher. You will be glad you did. -Dennis

I use to struggle to take him on walks or go to an outdoor restaurant without him barking, whining, and getting overwhelmed. Now he sits under me and watches calmly. I also feel like my dog trust me so much more because Mark taught me the importance of advocating for him and how to. He has an extensive knowledge on dogs and does an amazing job of teaching you about your dog and their behavior. Would 1000% recommend!

Micheal has hands down changed the way we live with our beloved dog, Ace…read more We rescued him from a back yard breeder situation, he was abused , attacked by many dogs and was an incredibly nervous/fearful dog with absolutely no manners. He use to pull us on his walks, run away once the front door opened and absolutely NO CONCEPT of recall. After completing Michaels board & train program - ace came back to us as a completely different dog. He walks in a perfect heel, he walks with his head held high & happy tail wag posture, he no longer darts out out the house and looks to us for a command. Not only has Micheal given Ace the confidence he needs to live his life as a happy dog, but he gave us the tools we needed to live in harmony with our dog. I'm no longer dreading to take Ace out for walks, it's actually one of my favorite things to do. There are no such thing as "bad dogs" Just need the right trainer and with the dedication to make your dreams come true. We seriously appreciate Micheal and his expertise so much. (P.s) Ace loves Micheal, a dog who was once super fearful of men. That's all you need to know!

First off, I'd like to start off by saying that Micheals board and train program has been one of…read morethe best investments I've done in my lifetime. I've bounced around to many dog trainers in my life and there was always a cop out excuse that was commonly used: "Your dog is bred poorly" "Some dogs are just aggressive" "Your dog just doesn't have it in him" Which left me feeling defeated, frustrated and ultimately my dog wasn't getting the help he needed to live his best life.. But Michael was the only trainer that was able to get a handle on my GSD right off the bat. My dog no longer runs away, comes back when I call him and walks by my side with ease. Micheal has taught me so much about how to understand dog body language, how to time the corrections and help guide my dog to greatness. I'm a personal trainer and I'm now able to take my pup to my clients house, where he has multiple distractions around him (kids running, weight lifting bars slamming in the floor, basketballs being tossed around) Yet- he just sits in his down position and just observes his surrounds in peace. I couldn't recommend this man enough. It's life changing knowledge he shares with all his clients.

My sister still drives down from Dayton after moving to get her dogs groomed by Cat), and boarding every now and then. The "floating groom" option is one of our favorites as our dog can run & play in daycare while also getting a full groom, so he's both tired & clean when he comes home. They also host fun events throughout the year where you can get a themed picture of your dog, like Halloween or St. Patrick's day. The staff is always very friendly, accommodating, and some even greet Benedict by name when we walk in the lobby. Seeing 1-star reviews here really surprises me as I know myself and many other repeat customers have had zero issues with the Pet Spot and I would feel confident recommending their services to any dog owner. I would also like to suggest to anyone reading these low reviews to take some highly sensitive pet owner's opinions with a grain of salt. This is an all around GREAT dog care facility with extremely hard-to-beat prices for the area. Seriously people - be realistic. Dogs will smell a little when they get home. The lobby might smell if someone had an accident. It's truly insane to think your dog won't smell a little bit when they come home from boarding/daycare surrounded by other dogs running and playing all day. Expect to bathe them yourselves like a normal person or pay for an exit bath (a service they offer). If you want your pup to never touch dirt or pee then you should keep them at home or shell out the cash for Rover. Just my two cents!
