We therefore felt confident in engaging his services, and we are happy to report that we were in no way let down. On the day, Doug was prompt, professional and accommodating. He was good at dealing with our specific requests, and the photographs themselves are excellent, including a mixture of beautiful formal portraits and documentary style images. He dealt well with the bright, hard lighting conditions of one of the hottest days of the year, and was very helpful when our timings slipped. Doug provided nearly 1000 photos of the day on USB, DVD and several beautiful prints. This was beyond what we expected, and means we have a wonderful record of our day. Anyway, whether they are local or not doesn't really matter...I am just really glad that we borrowed equipment from them for our wedding. They were easy to work with: - My DJ friend called them for a quote, and then I called back to book everything. They are easy to chat to and friendly on the phone. - They drop the equipment off, set it up and check it all for you...even if your venue is a barn in the middle of nowhere!! - They'll pick it up again afterwards. - The delivery/technician man was a complete sweetie, and provided extra leads etc to cover all eventualities (he also gave us an out of hours number just in case anything went wrong - it didn't) Extra notes: You do need to give them £200 in cash as a deposit, but they'll either give this back when they come to collect the equipment or they'll pop it into your bank if you're too hung-over to meet them when they pick everything up!!

The dessert was quite expensive at £6.50 for a fruit crumble and the crumble was fine, but I found it rather irritating that my request for custard instead of ice cream was refused. This is a four star hotel, and for that price in a good hotel I would expect a very easy, small request, to be met, not denied. The only explanation was essentially "we don't do custard therefore we don't do custard". I did not ask for something difficult or unusual so that was not impressive.

From our unplanned early check-in to staff working well past midnight to ensure the wedding guests had everything we needed... I was thoroughly impressed with the care and attention we all received. The hotel grounds are beautiful and a picture perfect spot for wedding festivities. The bride tossed her bouquet/groom tossed the garter from the penthouse balcony. There's a beautiful gazebo out back for pictures or just sitting and chatting with a cocktail. There are several statues/public art outside. Lots of parking. Plus, catering and bar tending staff were great. I could go on and on... Thanks, Hotel Felix for a good stay and making my sister's wedding reception so special!

For me it was reasonable. The room was great. Nice big bed and spacious room. Internet connect was ok but pricy. I did not have a car and showed up late so ate in the restaurant on location. You are a good walk or taxi ride away from anything else so if you don't have a car you probably will end up eating at this restaurant. The local office for the company I work for has their Christmas party here and everyone seems to like it. The restaurant on location which is called Graffiti, I thought was good. I also did not get small potions and went with the special of the day which included a salad with prosciutto on it that I really liked. The bar is 5 feet away has a different menu and not that interesting. My second night stay I ordered from this menu and this was a small portion.
