Presently, her wisdom tooth was hurting a lot but she would not go to anyone because of her past experience. Due to the pain, I finally took her to Dr Amin. Firstly, the clinic was very clean and inviting. The staff were very pleasant and then there came the dentist! Dr Amin explained the entire procedure to her in exceptional detail. She then went through the procedure and said that she did not even feel even the slightest of pain! There are some rare dentists that have the gift of the trade and Dr Amin is definitely one. After this, I brought my parents to Dr Amin and once again, they got the best treatment I have ever seen. Dr Amin was able to use some equipment to immediately have a 3D image made which I have never seen. The teeth were then operated on and once again happy customers. This happened many years ago and as much as we like to see Dr Amin, we have never needed to go to any dentist. All in all highly recommended and one of the best in the profession!

I had braces fitted, when they were removed and the bonding removed from my teeth the dentist 'Francesca', chipped one of my back teeth. She told me one price to have the braces removed then when I went back it was another price (higher). I felt very uncomfortable and quite scared to be in her hands in the end. She practically drilled off one of my white fillings. The brace brackets kept falling (literally within an hour of leaving) off which meant delayed treatment and more money spent on appointments and adjustments. My teeth weren't even straight when the braces come off. She sent a free retainer which was great but I've now been in treatment for 1 year and 9 months. It's crazy. I accidentally broke my top teeth retainer so naturally called them to send off for a new one. They apparently no longer have my scans (it was only 6 months ago). And they will do me a 'discount' to come in and have the scans again and order a new one of the reduced price of £150 from £200. I have found a local place for the same price of £150. Awful awful experience. Customer service is rubbish too. Please do not come here.

Turns out that's pretty much a pre-sales appointment where they try and scare you into paying money by showing you pictures on google of what may happen to you and telling you if you don't act now you'll have to pay 30 grand to get them fixed. Got sent off by the doctor with the words "let us know if you want to save your teeth"... I visit a dentist (different ones) on a very regular basis and have never heard of what he tried to "scare me" into there and when spoken to normally and provided with options my health is my #1 priority and I'm happy to spend money on it if necessary or even just "helpful". however I left that place just thinking "what the hell was that?!" and 85£ lighter which were nothing but an absolute waste of money and time...

What they aren't clear about is the price. They carried out work on my teeth without fully explaining the cost and procedure, merely providing vague explanations about how quick and easy it will be. They then hit me with an extortionate bill for some work that took less than 45 minutes to do. What should have cost £100-200 at any other dentist cost £800 here. They try to avoid telling you the total cost of the work they are doing like a dodgy mechanic and simply hit you with the bill afterwards. Total rip off merchants. Avoid.

Well, apparently it's the latest hype on the yuppie-coffee…read morescene and being a sucker for everything exotic, fancy, weird and new, I simply had to try it. Lizzie G. actually recommended "Dose" to me when I was in desperate need of an actual dose of caffeine. No sooner said than done...I walked to Dose and I took an immediate liking to the small coffee shop. It's rather small...or tiny would be the better word, but they have a cute little nook where I can picture myself reading some bohemian-kind-of-novel! But back to the aero-press: brewing the coffee (if that is still the word that one can use) is really quite a procedure and I wonder how many years of training it takes to learn this. The machinery itself kind of reminded me a little bit of a giant syringe...a syringe with a dose of caffeine! But it's definitively an experience watching them press the coffee into the container... Once my coffee had been created (and this is actually a good word to use), I was about to carelessly add some sugar to it, when the barista suggested I should try it without sugar first. She mentioned something about this coffee being more tea-like and more delicate and thus people would usually don't drink it with sugar...and she was right, it was really tasty - naked as it was! Which brings me to the point: when are you going to try your first naked air-pressed coffee?

The hot chocolate is so thick and rich you might as well eat it with a spoon, but that's the way (uh-huh, uh-huh) I like it (uh-huh, uh-huh)! I haven't tried their cakes but the sight of the cheesecake brownies had me drooling and the sound of the organic ginger and Guinness cake intrigued me. Perhaps a trip back to sample some naughty treats (in the name of research) is required! A great place to stop for a shot of caffeine, a naughty cake, a quick catch-up with a friend or simply if you need a port in a storm (space-allowing!) What a little treasure!

I've never been happy with my teeth. So alas, I went to my local dentist who checked me out and referred me to this place. Why? I do not know as it is in a bit of a random location where I have to take either bus, DLR, or car. Walking distance would have been better but luckily I drive and luckily you're allowed to use ASDA's car park nearby to park up for free. BUT when you come out of the dentist with blood dribbling down your mouth after having been through two teeth extractions and with a disorientated mindset, how is one suppose to drive back home without worrying about spilling some blood on the dash board and crashing into a tree? Anyway, my first impressions of this NHS/private practice were that it was just ok. Very clinical and boring. And there always seems to be the same two orthodontists at work. So there is usually queue of people waiting to be seen as I walk in. Waiting time for my appointment varies from about 5 mins to about half hour once I've arrive. The orthdontist I've got seems friendly and chatty. The other staff however ought to smile a bit more. They can drag down the whole atmosphere with them it seems. Receptionists also need a bit more training in people skills. A simple hello would suffice Ok, so enough of me moaning. So far, I've had 4 teeth pulled out (traumatic experience i must say) and am awaiting for my braces to be put in. My orthodontist so far seems to be friendly, professional, and good at his job. My only critique would be that he always seems to be rushed off his feet and so no real focus can be made to a single patient.
