I was referred to Ten Dental by my dentist, but unfortunately my experience with them was very negative. I went to both the Balham and Clapham branch. First, I was booked in with the wrong type of professional. That ended up being a waste of time and caused delay in my orthodontic treatment, but one mistake is no big deal. Unfortunately there's more. I was then booked in with the right professional and charged a full fee, because this was the second consultation (even though they had made a mistake). This professional thoroughly examined my mouth, and then while we were talking he asked "you don't have any wisdom teeth left, do you?". That was very concerning since I have a clearly visible wisdom tooth. Of course I wasn't going to work with this person, so I booked in with another specialist and paid the price they quoted. Then, two days before my appointment, they asked me for more money (about double what I paid) and refused to see me without the extra payment. You can't quote a price and then ask for more money after the patient agrees, so I asked for a refund. I also asked to speak to the practice manager and after 10 days I haven't been contacted. This dentist is shockingly bad. I never write reviews but felt I needed to so no one else spends money here. Everything they have done for me has gone wrong. The miss information across the dentists in the practise is beyond belief. When I questioned them about this I was told " well dentists have difference of opinions". I could possibly accept that however when it involves removing some of my my teeth you would have thought they would agree. If you go to a doctor they don't quibble not like these cowboys. I spent a fortune with them what a waste of money. Their work was so bad that when I went on holiday for two weeks I ended up in a French dentist twice with the dentists commenting on how bad the workmanship was on my teeth, this was two separate dentists. Really friendly, super patient-oriented, professional, perfectionist, complete dental care. My cavity today - deeper and more gruesome than known - was painlessly and flawlessly filled by perfectionist-extraordinaire Johannes and Chantal. Raquel, Hygienist Extraordinaire, did a great job with both my daughter and me. Dentist - Nik - very thorough, good use of oral photos for patient education. All the bells and whistles, including fun, wall-sized nature photo/walllpaper - are decoration for very very good services. read more

I was feeling 'Down in the Mouth' about my wonky front four top teeth when I visited Dr Nate Yang for a routine examination last October. You know how it is if you're in your 50s - those years of 'Drill & Fill' when you were a child, followed by terrified visits to the Dentist as an adult. Well. Nate was the most friendly, approachable Dentist and straight away he put me at my ease as he undertook the examination and X-rays, explaining the process as he went along, and happy to give me the time to ask questions and to give me detailed answers. Although this is the first time I had seen Nate, I knew instinctively that I could trust him, and blurted out that I hated my teeth and would love to improve their appearance. There and then, he took me through my options, and within half an hour we had agreed a dental and pricing plan, which I could pay by monthly instalments with the help of Ten Dental's payment plan. We decided on composite veneers for my teeth, and at all stages of the initial consultation, and the treatment itself, he explained each stage. Even though the treatment took a couple of lengthy visits, he was so always gentle and unhurried that I was totally relaxed. In fact, I couldn't believe that I was quite happy sitting in a Dentist's chair without feeling the need to get up and run off! By early December I had a set of beautiful, natural looking teeth - and I haven't stopped smiling since. Well worth the time, the cost, and most of all my confidence has soared. Ten Dental are total professionals and I would highly recommend them for dental care. I went to see Dr Nik for a dental implant & lately a check-up. It was a procedure I was dreading and Dr Nik took great care to explain to me my treatment plan and always talking me through the actions he was taking whilst in the chair. I was made to feel comfortable and as calm as can be in this situation. The dental implant procedure was very smooth and I would not hesitate to go back to Ten Dental in the future. Without doubt Dr Nik gave me the best dental treatment in all my years of going to the dentist! As a bonus, they have a gorgeous new dental practice too. read more

I had an appoitment at 10am and could not make it in time because of a freak accident on the road, and the road was closed. So I called them and explain the situation but they didn't reschedule my appointment for me or accommodate me in any way, instead they insist I would lose the fee which I had paid upfront (£135). Very disappointed! I won't be coming back nor recommend this place to anyone, because they show no sympathy for clients! read more

Amazing how just one member of the reception team can massively change the way you feel about a shop or business you call. Hoping to book in to meet the practice orthodontist team and discuss my concerns about straightening and their prices, the call made me feel very unwelcome and the options for an appointment so restrictive it was almost impossible to get a introduction for weeks. When I expressed this... wow, suddenly i was an irritant to them. Take it or leave it. Hurried off the call as if they were bored. Called another local practice, got the welcome, time in the diary and encouragement I needed. These guys have a nice sign. That's about it apparently. read more

I am elderly and my teeth show the scars of many battles yet I have not encountered anything but the most patient, friendly care from Ten Dental, especially from Mede, to make the best of what they find. On the admin side, paying upfront when you make the appointment can be a little disconcerting but I don't know whether that is usual practice or not nowadays. A forfeit to set against the eventual cost would perhaps seem fairer. read more
