I didn't want I do that and I ended up having 3 more kids as well. So as a mom you just put things off. When I went off my consult I didn't know if I'd actually follow through. I just don't like going to the Dr and especially new ones. I'm 37 years old. Dr. May comes into the room so friendly and just puts you to ease. What an amazing doctor!! So finally had it removed today. As I walked into the room and sat down I thought to myself why am I having this done. I should have just left it. Well, the nurse helping me was so very kind and nice, she put me at ease. She had dark hair and has two daughters. I wish I had of gotte her name. They talked to me while I was being put to sleep. Financial estimate states $130 for each 15 minutes of sedation…read more Upon having wisdom tooth removed, appt was at 11:00, patient called back at 11:05, office notified procedure complete at 11:30 Patient was billed for three 15 minute increments at $130 each, (paid up front) when patient was only with them for 25 minutes. When requesting a refund or $130 for the sedation not used, was informed this was for billing insurance purposes only, but we are not insurance patients and that is dishonest as why insurance is so messed up anyway. Have filed a complaint with the BBB requesting refund of the unused $130 worth of sedation. Unethical behavior all the way around, and their callous attitude made it worse. Patients in waiting room heard the discussion and agreed it was unethical, as well. Have images of both the financial estimate and the actual statement from date of procedure. Wish images could be attached.
