I never interacted much with the agent I was dealing with, except was told via email to complete their form (which was really comprehensive and easy). Two days later she called me to go over rates, and told me she had beat my State Farm rates. When she gave me the numbers, I said, actually, what you have quoted me is higher than what I have now. Very quickly she responded, "Ok, well, you should stick with State Farm." click... hung up on me! I've been thinking about it all weekend, but what a bizarre interaction and just strange. Not only do they always pick up the phone or write you back immediately but when you need help after a claim is filed they go the extra mile! I have been struggling with a roof hail claim and just could not get ahold of my assigned adjuster to get the contractor paid. Michelle got on the bat phone twice and he called me within the hour! I honestly don't know how people do it without help from a team like this. I moved to Colorado and found out my home insurance was double what I paid on my home in Northern California which mind you was worth 4x the cost of my new build home and had a swimming pool. I honestly figured moving to Colorado with the housing prices my home insurance would be cheap!! WRONG! I ended up paying for the year and sad it was so much, then I got the renewal paperwork and my insurance jumped by $800 extra a year making it almost $3k a year crazy right? I could take no more so I decided to give David a call. What do I have to loose? I can either go with his recommendation or not? I gave him all my info and he got back to me really quick with home and auto rates. He also informed me my current coverage I was paying a lot for was honestly no good!!! They needed roofing paperwork which I provided in person and in a snow blizzard and I was told they would have to send a roofer over to the house to look at the roof. No response and no roofer. Due to lack of response from Kylie Welch I sought an estimate from another State Farm Agency in Highlands Ranch. This agency was extremely responsive as we were texting, emailing and calling almost daily running through different numbers, deductibles, coverages, etc. (GREAT customer service). This Kylie Welch finally called back and I told her that I selected another Agency. She immediately became angry, mean, and vindictive so much so that I am leaving State Farm altogether (after 2 weeks) and going back to Allstate. Allstate has much better rates and customer service. This Kylie person was the worst and meanest insurance agent that I have ever dealt with. I was a "potential" customer and to be berated because I did NOT select Joe Bussey State Farm insurance is cold-hearted. Why would I pay significant money to someone who is so vengeful. I am filing complaints with the State Farm National headquarters, Colorado Division of Insurance, and BBB.
