WOW!! What a difference new management makes! I've lived at Aliro for 3 years and the past management team was so corrupt - they took took bribes via Zelle to get out of a lease and they engaged in corrupt practices such as kickbacks from predatory towing companies. In the past, the phones were never answered and the customer service window was rarely open. The last management team acted as though they were elite and there was only one person who actually seemed to care (Dana) and even she blended into the prissy culture simply by association. NOW we have an incredible new management team that is actively working to improve things. I haven't seen the predatory tow company ("All-Ways Towing) since the new management moved in. NOW we have "food truck Fridays" which is an attempt to cultivate a community here again. NOW we have detailed monthly newsletters with exciting updates. NOW we feel cared for as residents and I can't wait to see what the future has in store! Aliro has so much potential.. it just needs to be managed properly and it seems now the right team is in place to do it. I'm still GTFO when my lease is over but I truly believe this will be a great place to live for residents moving forwards Keep up the great work! read more

After a few days after my review someone finally reached out and I went for a tour and didn't get shown any amenities only the model 1 bedroom and a studio. The person that gave me my tour seemed like he wasn't really interested in showing me the amenities but just told me about them. I heard the amenities are amazing and I was wishing to see but honestly after that and the communication not being the best me and my significant other decided to just go with another place. I wanted to give this place a try but the workers didn't really seem interested. Also the hallways have a weird smell to them and have a horror movie vibe because of the lack of lighting in the hallways. I wish they had more security. Within my first month of living here, an iPad I ordered was stolen from the mailroom before I could retrieve it. Although security cameras are installed, it was stated that nothing could be done. In January--five months after moving in--our dishwasher stopped working. Despite multiple maintenance requests, follow-up emails, in-person visits to the office, and working from home to coordinate access, it remains unfixed as of mid-April. We have now spent over 40% of our lease term washing dishes by hand, in a unit that had a dishwasher listed as an appliance. During this period, our kitchen sink also developed a significant leak, causing water to pool under the cabinet and rendering the kitchen effectively unusable. It took over three days for management to respond, during which time we relied exclusively on the bathroom sink. read more

Washers always out of order so you better get your laundry fine elsewhere. My dishwasher never worked , the doors keeping falling off and least but not least , the air conditioning unit is full of mold . Ok this is a review I've really contemplated doing bc it was such a traumatic experience for me. I'll start off with the good Michelle was really sweet and really helpful in my entire experience here. The star goes to her if I could give 5 to her I would, but this is an over all review. I was moving to Miami from San Diego, CA. I found this place probably on Zillow or Trulia. The pictures of the place were just the aesthetic that I like! The closets even had a built in vanity! The price was $2,100 it came with washer and dryer. Was a steal compared to San Diego prices. So I took the steps got approved and everything while still living in San Diego. I paid for like half the month in July then my august rent. I had to get my car from the car shipment people so I came out like mid august. (If I remember correctly) I land in Miami and go straight to the apparent complex get my keys. (I thought it was strange no one took me on a tour of the grounds or even to the apartment) usually because any apartments I moved to they do that as well as a walk through with a paper to fill out of the condition. I am on FaceTime with my grandmother going to do the walk through together. Initially looking it was so cute inside the building was outdated but the inside of the apartment was so cute! I opened the pantry cabinet and there were tons of dead cockroaches. I screamed because I've never been around them in my 25 years of life. My grandma said maybe someone hadn't lived in the unit in a while or something, I was grossed out. I open the closet BOOM 2 huge ones came running out! Let's just say.. they never ended I ordered all types of roach stuff hoping I could just kill them. Then I did research. That if u even see one in the day time then there's hundreds in the walls. Thank God I didn't have to see what night time was like there. Also I noticed the floors were extremely dirty and then came to realize it was a bunch of squished bugs on the floor Then I had a blow up mattress (was tired from flying all night) and I woke up to a huge one on the ceiling and LOST IT. I killed over 30 roaches in the matter of 9 hours. The AC wouldn't go lower than 70 degrees. They assured me they were going to do extensive pest control treatment but I was already traumatized. I ended up staying in a very nice hotel for two nights. My car still still didn't arrive yet so I was Ubering everywhere.. I had a terrible mental breakdown because it was like a nightmare and not anything I expected. LUCKILY I didn't have all of my things shipped yet. The company ended up giving me all of my money back. And letting me off of the lease two days after move in, Thank God. I was very thankful for that. But I don't get reimbursed for my hotel and I had to park my car in the airport for 19 days until I got a new apartment.. that was anything $400 so I lost out about $1500 for that. I really wish I could leave 0 stars! It seems to me the most neglected place of all! I am aware that they are not new apartments but they are the least inefficient to repair anything on the property, my apartment lasted months with the air conditioning damaged without lowering the temperature of 74, the balconies fall off the poor quality paint by the sun every two months, the air outlets have moo, the dishwashers have leaks and create fungi in the cabinets and as if that was not enough when I moved out of the apartment they charged me $150 extra because according to them the oven and the refrigerator were not clean, the level is incredible Of inefficiency of this place, the packages are stolen in the lockers and they don't give you any kind of answer and on top of everything one afternoon I left my keys inside and while I went down to my car for a second the pest control company entered... I fumigate my apartment and left it blocked forcing me to pay to change the lock of my apartment $300 without them being responsible!!! read more

What a horrible place to live the management is always mishandling the checks for rent, the maintenance in this building does not care one bit. When I moved in the very first day it only had boiling hot water coming out the apartment in the shower the sink everything was hot I called for maintenance it took more than three weeks for them to finally send someone because my issue was "not serious". There is mold in all of the ac vents that they just paint over and no one picks up after there dog not to mention the supermarket plays music till 12pm and holidays past 12 pm. If this is a last resort find something else these apartments are also filled with bugs from spiders too German cockroaches and normal 2 inch cockroaches. And the maintenance just walks in your house I set up a camera and would catch them entering my house to "fix things" I never asked for. read more

If I could put negative stars I would. Pick any other apartment in Miami. They do not keep up with maintenance, regularly don't uphold policies, and everything is such a process to accomplish. Water constantly goes out, bugs everywhere, things are constantly broken, and they have a complete inability to be on time with anything. I requested my locks be changed and a week later my apartment was broken into and items were stolen because they didn't uphold their "24 hour work order" policy. Now a month after moving out, I still can't get my deposit back because they haven't submitted their paper work to their 3rd party source. They also have documentation for me not renewing my lease and proceeded to try and charge me rent saying "they didn't know I moved out" when their own workers watched me leave. honestly I was so excited to move in here from New York. Today is June 18th and I am feeling so robbed by the management at aliro. LITERALLY the most horrible experience for someone moving from another state (New Jersey) To sum up all the hell, my unit wasn't even ready for me on day one, the place was dirty, broken closet doors, blinds not installed correctly. My 4 yr old niece was chased by an UNLEASHED PITBULL as the owner just kept casually walking with no care to stop it. She was terrified! keep in mind I signed a lease that states all dogs must be leashed on the community grounds. I told Christina (leasing agent) and Annette (property manager) about this. And their responses were basically that this has been an ongoing issue and there not much they can do about it. This place is just dirty everywhere, when touring they show you the building they actually take care of & a well put together unit to reel you in but that is not what you'll be getting! The Gate at the front is never working! I couldn't even sleep there for the first 4 days because of how uncomfortable I was. I was given a unit with what I now know is MOLD. From day 1 the floors keep producing water, I would wipe it up and it would come right back and I mean PUDDLES of water will appear on the floor and anything that is placed on the floor will become wet in a matter of minutes and this happens in every room in the apartment. My clothes and my sheets that are exposed to air are always MOIST, my mattress was on the floor for the first few days before I realized what was going on and the entire bottom of my mattress was soaked. I put a rug down in the living room and it was soaked in an hour. I expressed all these issues to Annette and she has done nothing about the major issues with the unit. I requested to be let out of my lease & have my rent returned and was denied but yet no one seems to give a shit about what's happening in the apartment. I discovered mold in the dishwasher & in the AC unit . And the wet flooring issue has just gotten so bad with the more Furniture/Items I place in the apartment. I had to put together my bed to get the mattress off the floor and now it's as if the floor is leaking under the bed, There's trailing of a puddle of water coming from under the bed. I would wipe it up and it would come right back in about 10 mins. There's roaches EVERYWHERE!!! This is disgusting, the unit is uninhabitable and no one has done anything to help, they haven't even offered to move me to another unit. STRAIGHT ROBBERY, I didn't sign a lease for a unit in this condition or for MOLD, I didn't pay $1,800+ to move into a place with these types of issues. It's disgusting how in a time like this where people are dealing with the financial impact of Covid-19 that management would take someones money & basically refuse to let me out of a lease or return my money for a place that has been unlivable from DAY ONE. I've been asking to be let out of my lease and have my money returned since day 3, I even stated I don't care if they want to charge me for the 3 days and they refused. Not even 3 weeks later & I now have to spend how much more money to find somewhere else to live because It has become so unbearable. I'm getting sick being here and my little sister whom was staying with me to help me move in had to fly back home ASAP because she's allergic to mold and she has been getting sick as well. Her skin started breaking out in hives since day 3. I've lived here for 1.5 years. My first apartment was great. I moved into a smaller one bedroom on the 3rd floor in building 14030. since November I've had nothing but issues with no resolve from management. They ignore service issues on the tenant portal. When i moved into the new apartment in November, I was told it was ready. When I moved the dishwasher was broken, the hot water in the shower didn't work, my mailbox didn't open. Shortly after I realized the AC wasn't working properly. It's now May 1st and it's still not fixed. i have a one bedroom and I'm hardly home. The AC runs from 10pm-7am and never goes off because it never reaches the desired temperature of 70. It only gets to 72-73, so my electric bill is $120-150 per month. This is a 1 bedroom and I live alone. When I had a 2 bedroom with someone the bill was $60-80. I believe they are incompetent or just don't care. My rent is always paid early. The elevator is always broken. It's been broken since Saturday and it's now Wednesday. Please feel free if you care about your tenants to call me or email me. Giving a low rating due to the ignorance/lack of attention/willingness to help in part of the management team at the leasing office. All questions asked is immediately given a "I don't know, we don't do that, call the company yourself and figure it out". The leasing office never knows how to help you solve a problem and always tells you to call the lovely customer service team who never answers the phone. Complex is alright, my building usually smells like cigarettes and the mailroom lockers are always broken. The resident front gate never works so prepare to wait in a long line. i applied for an apartment in january and it is march now, so many problems in between that led us to no continue with this apartment. we were showed an apartment that we applied for same day and than we were told that it was no longer available so they offer other apartments that were higher in price and just not as good as the original one so we said if we see pictures than we might continue and than jasha suggested we put the deposit down so it can't get taken like the other one but because we haven't seen it yet he guaranteed that if we weren't happy with this other apartment that we'd get a full refund. so here we are months later still not able to see the apartment besides some picture that were taken off a blackberry. so we called and said we just weren't happy with it and on top of the apartment not being any close as nice as the first one we were shown, they took the one month free from the original deal away so we decided that it was just a no for us now and jasha said again that it's alright and that we'lil get our refund through the same app that we put it through. he transfers us to his leasing manager j believe and they tell us they can't refund us and this and that so we're confused because then why were we told otherwise, it's seeming like this place is a scam because they make us pay for an application fee for a place we couldn't even get and than tells us to put a deposit with a guaranteed refund if we weren't happy with it and now they're saying differently. so unprofessional because we still haven't heard back from them and i will make sure to give any updates if they do. read more

This building is aggressively towing cars.. I was gone for 5 minutes delivering food.. I come back and my car is gone. I have been delivering here for the past couple of years and never had a problem.. The lowlife tow truck was hiding and waiting because that was too fast. I felt sick to my stomach and it cost me $175 to get my car back which I didn't have. I need my car to make income and is now my home because I am homeless.. Just disgusting and I will never deliver to this building again and I will let other drivers know so they can do the same.. This use to be a nice complex but its run down and looks horrible.. They closed the other YELP page to make sure future renters aren't aware of the reality that goes on here. There is nothing luxurious about this place. There is garbage all over the hallways & laundry rooms. Smell of weed in every hallway, every floor and every single staircase, you're lucky if the smell of weed doesn't go into your apartment. People who live here are constantly selling drugs, smoking or doing drugs in the staircases. I don't think management performs real background checks and employed have confirmed they'll allow anyone in to just make money. I've seen more than 10 physical fights in the complex & witnessed also domestic abuse, people get ran over, cars lefts on bricks and of course drugged people laying down in the parking lot. Dogs are unleashed, pet owners do not pick up after their dogs and there's snakes in the "dog park". I have gotten packages stolen from my front door AND locker & management either says cameras don't work or to contact the locker company. They change management every couple of months, security allows everyone to go in. "Management" over promises and under delivers, we lived there for almost 3 years due to being forced to renew our lease as our toilet was not working and overflowing with water and it was the only way out of the apartment. The list goes on! Before transferring to the other apartment, they mentioned things will be fixed and they were never fixed and of course it was deducted from our deposit. The same way knowing that no one wants to come and sit in the building to talk about the worse experience they've had. They do not take it seriously! They have someone with a script getting paid there to respond to reviews. Knowing it's just a way for new residents to think they are actually going to do something about the problems people complain about. I have family that still lives there and complains that that it's even worse. Do not get stuck signing a lease with these people. They are money hungry. I applied last week and was denied due to my credit score (they don't even take into consideration the ACTUAL report - which has no negative accounts). I make 4 times the monthly rent in salary. I gave them my bank statements which reflect plenty of money in bank. I even offered to pay a few months in advance or add a co-signer with a higher score to make up for credit score blemish. I asked to be connected to management to discuss my application and they just stopped responding to my emails. I would've made a great addition to their community, but after seeing all these negative reviews, I guess everything happens for a reason and I dodged a bullet. Thank God. I had a nine-month lease with Aliro and it literally was the worst experience and most dirtiest place I EVER lived in my LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! First and foremost, this place is infested with roaches. These bugs are EVERYWHERE. In the laundry room, the mail room, the trash room, the apartments themselves, wherever, you name it. I had to live in a hotel my first month staying there while still paying rent because my apartment was infested with roaches sooo badly. They bombed my place 3 times and gave me more than 15 sprays as well and I still had roaches when I moved out. All my neighbors and friends who lived there also had roaches, so I knew it wasn't just my apartment alone. There are so many roaches there, you were to think they pay rent as well. Also, there are huge raccoons who come to the trash shoot every night to munch on the leftovers in the trash. No exergration at alllll, there are about 25 raccoons who hid in the trash shoot all night around their prime season. It's at least 7 that come every night. That's not all unfortunately. Let's get into the fact that the elevators NEVER work. If one is in motion, the other is not. Aliro hasn't had somebody to inspect their elevators in a decade, so they break down often. Their elevators were supposed to be reinspected July of 2020!!! However those same damn ragedy elevators from when they were called portifino are still in use. They break down all the time and the buttons cave in if you press too hard. Onetime, I got stuck on the elevator when it reached my floor. The door would not come open and a resident had to get me off. The maintenance sucks!!! It's always something with them and they don't take maintenance request until Wednesdays. Yes, even if it's an emergency. One time, maintenance had to come into my home to fix my neighbor under me when they had a leaky shower faucet. Instead, they broke my faucet in the process and even broke off my hot water handle too. You guessed it, they never fixed it. Let's talk about the laundry room now... out of like 8 washers and 10-12 dryers, about TWO of the washers work 24/7 and four of the dryers. There is never a time all their appliances in the laundry room work. There always breaking down or just really f***ing dirty. I mean hair (dog and human), used pads, and old moldy soap lives in these appliances. You were to think with all this, they would at least take these complaints seriously but no, again. No matter how much you call and email anybody in the office, THEY WILL NOT GET BACK TO YOU. You have to physically go up to the leasing office to talk to them personally because they will look you in your face and act stupid while they are ignoring the phone that is sitting right next to them. You can't even leave a voice message because ALL their line extensions to their mailboxes are full. A complete joke. Even if you do go up there and make a complaint or request, they never relay the message to the higher ups or put your request in the system. My last straw with Aliro is when I moved out of the apartments about 7 weeks ago. Aliro was suppose to send my deposit and the extra funds I overpaid for rent for my last month staying there. I have yet to receive my money back from them even though they said it takes a month for the money to be released back into my account. I am now considering taking legal actions with Aliro at this point. DO NOT MOVE TO THIS PLACE. It is a waste of time and money. This building almost killed me. Please stay as far away as possible. It is CRAWLING with mold and cockroaches. I had to call 911 and ended up in the hospital multiple times over the span I lived here for tachycardia and not being able to breathe. No one could figure it out, it eventually turned into an autoimmune reaction that once again no one could figure out, the same symptoms except I started breaking out in rashes and once again not being able to breathe and turning PURPLE. The autoimmune reaction was so bad I had organ failure and ended up a type one diabetic all because they wanted to cover up mold. Thank you Jacob! (JACOB GARZA THE LEASING AGENT WHO KNEW THIS BUILDING HAS A MOLD PROBLEM THAT GOES BACK 4 YEARS AND KEPT SHOWING THESE PROPERTIES FULL OF MOLD AS SEEN ON REVIEWS PUT UP BEFORE I MOVED IN, THERE IS THE PROOF HE IS DOING SO) I complained about humidity, but no one ever came out and the only time they did they applied bleach which what was that going to do? I legit emailed them about it, but nobody ever came to fix anything. Nobody replied, and eventually I started smelling mold so I brought this concern up to them. I was ignored, and eventually, my clothes and belongings started growing mold. Dana gaslit me saying it was dirt touched it and gave it back as if that proved anything so I put it up to her face so she could see, she backed away and looked at me with nothing behind those eyes in shock. As Jacob ran away scared saying I had no proof he rented out a moldy apartment to me but as seen above there is your proof that you asked for Jacob Garza. I was even more shocked she was accusing me of being dirty as if I didn't wash my clothes. So she came up to my apt denying everything I was showing her was mold even going as far as saying "Oh you wanna see mold? I know what mold is I'll show you mold" and accepting caught on my living room camera that was visible, that my apartment was clean. Once again I told her I'd get her a report and she walked away disrespectfully and started talking bad about me caught on my ring camera telling me she would love to see it. They gaslit me until I got a mold report they thought I was not gonna go through with and left them looking stupid especially Dana, keep her in mind. Still they tried to tell me they filed an eviction, in return, I told them that was illegal as I had given them a notice I was not paying rent until issues were fixed under 'Florida Statute 83.201 Notice to landlord of failure to maintain or repair, rendering premises wholly untenantable; right to withhold rent.' I went to talk to the judge about this supposed eviction filed and as expected there was not an eviction notice. (Fear-mongering does not work on educated people Dana) Further proving their incompetence. I called the city out as they refused to repair it and they were already showing other mold-infested apartments in the building so I did not want to let this go unrepaired. Well, the city looked at all the makeup and cover-ups that they had done to the apt before renting it out to me. Furthermore, Dana acted as if she were the main protagonist in Clueless, saying "Oh well I'm not a mold expert I don't know what it would look like" trying to cover her behind as if I did not have her on my outside door ring camera saying she'll show me mold and exactly what it looks like. Again not a thought behind those eyes and not a good liar she should stop lying through her teeth less often could land her in a lot of trouble. I showed the city code enforcer the report and we talked about the damage done and the danger. She issued them a violation so I was then let out of my lease. They cover up mold with spray paint and tape, and ALL A/Cs and air ducts are infested with mold the mold inspector literally said it take more than a year for it to grow that way in vents. My neighbor from 14030-308 also moved out due to the same thing. Two days later as I was moving out, they were showing the apartment no regard for the mold that the previous tenant had reported and due to mold toxicity evacuated. My husband and I moved to Aliro a month ago and we already want to move out. 1st: the apartment was not ready when they said it was going to be, 2nd the walls are PAPER thin so you can literally hear your neighbors conversations, 3rd: the hallways are never cleaned so they usually smell bad, 4th the smell of weed is EVERYWHERE which usually wouldn't bother me but it gets into the apartment. And the worst part of this place is the lack of concern with mold. Every morning we wake up to the smell of ammonia coming from our vents and it's absolutely disgusting, I've made an emergency maintenance request days ago and haven't heard anything back which is frustrating because this is a MAJOR health concern. People play their music SO loud all the time here. The security is a joke, they let anybody in without question. I've lived in MANY apartments and this is by FAR the worst experience I've ever had. The rent here is way toooo high for the quality of the complex. There is absolutely nothing luxurious about Aliro. We will be counting down the months until we can leave. The ONLY good thing I can say is that Melanie at the front desk was helpful with the leasing process. Find a better place. Don't move here. Reply to employee: Where can I talk to you directly because I've talked to several people directly and nothing has been done. I'm rating it 1 star simply because I need to give a star. Don't move here. Horrible place. Roaches everywhere. The walls were made probably with the cheapest material they could buy. Don't even bother trying to contact management you only could hear from them if you go in person. THE GATES NEVER WORK. The security here is literally a joke. They will keep a line waiting just to have a conversation with friends. I thought this place was going to be very different and I'm honestly so disappointed. Noise never stops so if you like music. Update: we pay a fee every month for our packages to be secured, the machine hasn't worked since last year & yet they still charge us, I'm so tired of my stuff being stolen or completely opened. I had to have my apartment professionally sealed after I woke up with a roach in my bed, in order to stop the infestation, & I had to do my own pest control, there were holes under the sink, no covers on electrical outlets, deep cracks along the baseboards. I had to seal my own windows after repeatedly requesting screens, & never getting a reply, because little lizards kept getting in. Now I have to leave an extra 30 minutes early, because we have had 1 elevator for about 4 months. But they are more concerned with towing your car if you don't park with the license plate showing. Did I mention they don't do shit about the noise complaints, my neighbors kid drives me insane, I wear headphones to sleep at night & when I need peace I have to leave home for a few hours or just sit in my car.
