Came here for brunch with some friends this past weekend and I am happy I did! It's all you can eat brunch for $14, with a good selection of food. There were the typical items such as eggs, bacon, sausages AND if you have a sweet tooth ( pancakes/waffles/French toast) to name a few. Service was good too! Wanted to try something different tonight, so my girlfriend and I tried Ali's instead of a couple of our go to's and we were very pleasantly surprised! I am happy to be the first one to be able to tell people about this place. I was in New Liskeard for work, and stayed at the Holiday Inn. I was recommended this restaurant by the lady at the front counter. She told me and my colleague it was in a mall, and we were a little skeptical at first but decided to give it a shot. It was packed! We weren't sure if we were going to get a table but it seemed like everyone in town was here. We saw that it was their Pasta night, where you pay $14.99 for a fresh huge portion of pasta in one of a selection of sauces. Everyone was there for pasta night, but I was there for steak. :) I ordered the strip and it came with a choice of soup or salad, garlic toast, vegetables, mashed potatoes/fries, and I got gravy. The meal was amazing. My steak was cooked perfectly and was complemented by all of the sides. It has been a long time since I've enjoyed a steak dinner this much, granted the past few steaks I've had have been at events like weddings, not at steak restaurants..! The atmosphere was very cozy and made you feel like you were in a little small town where everybody knows eachother. Everyone was saying hi to people around them, it was nice to see. The service was extremely friendly and prompt. Although it was super busy, we didn't really wait longer than normal for anything. The decor was out for Christmas time and I'm sure that added to the feeling of warmth, but it was a cute-but-outdated place that I just felt like if I lived up here, I'd come here all the time. This is not the best place to eat in town. The service is slow, the menu is too big and full of stuff nobody would order and they seem to forget or mess up orders on a regular basis. I ordered a burger with cheese and a poutine. I was brought a hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. They returned 20 minutes later with my food lukewarm and splattered together like someone was mad at it. My advice is drive up the road and avoid at all costs. read more

Server was amazing but food was soggy and cheap. Burger was store bought thin patty and clubhouse was soggy bread.
