My 78 year old mother has been buying and wearing hair pieces/toppers for many years due to a…read morehealth condition. She has always purchased similarly priced hair pieces that were custom fit, hand made, had a natural-appearing scalp, clips that were sized and placed to securely attach to the head and hair that looked, laid and behaved as human hair does and should. After being promised a piece of that quality my mother trusted this shop and ordered and prepaid for the item. When it arrived at the store it was handed to her laying crumpled at the bottom of a plastic bag. She tried the piece in the store and it didn't fit her head. In addition, the clips were nonfunctioning and misplaced on the "scalp." Lynn cut and removed the clips from the piece and told my mother that she would replace them with bigger ones for 5 DOLLARS A PIECE (have you ever??? This is a $1400 hair piece!!) My mother was then assured that she would be totally satisfied with the topper and she took it home to try. The haphazard replacement clips made it impossible for my mother to figure out which way to put on the piece. Every attempt to make it look right failed. Even when taking the piece to another salon locally and asking a professional to help her it still looked so ridiculous and unnatural that the stylist she consulted was shocked. My mother then consulted with several other local professionals as well as a trusted boutique from out of state. All were in agreement that the item was a cheap, machine-made item not worth even half the price my mother was charged. My mother was distraught. These toppers have been a very expensive investment because they are a vital part of my mother's personal routine. Her self esteem and confidence were devastated. Not only because of her not having a head covering to wear in public but also because of her feeling that she was mistreated by this store she thought she could trust. After all the consulting with others and trying at home to put it on and make it look decent she called Lynn and told her that she was really concerned and disappointed and wished to return the item. She was immediately dismissed. She was told it was too bad and reminded that she had "signed the receipt." My mother tried to dispute the charge with her credit card company but the retailer denied any wrongdoing and told the card company that my mother had signed the "no refunds" receipt. Absolutely criminal. If the store policy is to not allow breaches of contract, should they not also be held to fulfill THEIR end of the contract? A hair piece of custom quality worth over $1400? My mother will be filing in small claims court for a refund but in the meantime locals should be aware of the unprofessional and unethical practices at this establishment.

Lynn was wonderful. She took so much time with me and made me feel very comfortable. I would…read morehighly recommend her to anyone needing a wig!
