We were waiting for over a year for Sunny Hill assessment for ASD. We were desperate to get our son assessed as he was a teenager. We were able to get assessed after only 1 month last August, since so many other clinics were full or had long waitlists. The comprehensive team at All Brains was a great experience. We received responsive emails from the office team regarding filling out many questionaires and online assessments. They were quick to respond, supportive and helpful. It was a very comprehensive assessment. While if may have felt daunting at first to compile all the reports and medical records, in hindsight we felt it was a great process. The SLP Karl Sutker was so kind and patient and was able to assess our child's lack of recognizing social cues. The assessment also included a meeting with the Student Support Liason Laurie Meston who was so knowledgeable in advocating for our child in the school system. Psychologist Dr Houssein Eslami was great at the final in-person assessment recognizing lack of eye contact and subtle missing of social cues dispite our child being high functioning and masking. The final assessment report was comprehensive and gave us a better understanding of our child. We are grateful for the amazing experience, as we had felt lost and alone. The ASD diagnosis and funding opened up a whole new world of supports, when we were feeling alone for the past 3 years. read more
