After a very strange text saying he couldn't find reliable help and my house was too big and he was sorry but couldn't do my job, he then called, apologized and said he thought I was someone else. He confirmed that, YES, he and his wife would be on my job the next day at 9AM and be there until probably dusk. The next day, I waited on the jobsite until noon! I called twice, texted 3 times and no response. I cannot believe that A. after the conversation the previous day he didn't show up and B. that a business owner wouldn't at least give me the courtesy of contacting me to cancel or delay the job! How rude to expect me to wait on a jobsite without any form of communication after numerous messages to him. DO NOT hire this company as they clearly only want their "regular customers" and not any new customers. Such a terrible way to run a business! I too am in the construction business and we are also extremely busy and short-staffed, but ALWAYS communicate with your customers no matter what. We do a lot of work in the Cle Elum/Suncadia/Tumble Creek area. I'll be sure to let our builders know that Robert and PNW Window Cleaning & House Washing doesn't want their business and if they say they do and schedule a job, don't count on them to show up as scheduled!!!! Now we are fully into summer window washing season and had I known Robert would bail on me I would have gone with someone else and now everyone is booked until September! I can't speak to their quality of work. This was a move out cleaning, we had already left for our…read morenew home. What I can speak to is their charging for our cleaning. When the owner came to give us a quote she commented on how clean our house ready was and the fact that it would only take about 4 to 5 hours to clean our home. They did not do the outside of the windows, the shed or the garage. The hourly rate was $45.00. Upon receiving the invoice we were charged $581.00. We were charged for 12.5 hours. I called to get clarification on the bill. First I was told the top performing cleaner was assigned to our home and she had a trainee with her and this is why it took longer then I was first quoted. She also said that the home in my neighborhood were a bit larger. I did not feel I should pay extra because they had sent along a trainee. Also, she saw our house, it did not get bigger between the time she saw it and the time the person came to clean it. I was able to get the price reduced to $380. I still feel that we were over charged. If it was going to take 5 hours, at $45.00 that would only be $225.00. Because of all the other issues we had to deal with regarding a move across the country I was just not will to pursue it way further. So I guess this is a caution tale. Be aware of this company. Get the bid in writing.
