The specific check I requested was simply for someone to drive my car up the street, and let me know the origin of the noise it was making. *NO FURTHER WORK WAS AUTHORUZED.* I ended up being charged for both the check, and light replacements that I hadn't authorized, which totaled out to almost 200 dollars. This is behavior I'd expect from a shop being run out of someone's garage, and not an established shop where I've brought my car for service on multiple occasions. I am now almost 200 dollars further away from being able to pay for the repairs, and this might clinch my decision to get rid of my car, which is absolutely disastrous for my life. When putting in the heater core there were 2 issues. The first one we noticed was that they mixed up wires so, driving home all the lights came on and it kept stalling. Took it back and they fixed their mistake. (paid a lot for this btw). Then came heavy rain and there was an inch of water front to back and it started smelling very musty and moldy like a flood car. After much back and forth, they finally realized their mistake in that they had left the heater core rubber boot seal on the fire wall pushed out and rain was pouring in. Their solution was to jury rig it with caulk instead of doing it correctly with a new boot. Meanwhile we had to pull out all of the carpet and it still stinks. But it gets worse. Here we are 6 months later and started having odd electrical issues and then, out of the blue it will not start. We had it towed to a reputable shop and they recommended we try the dealer. Took it to Toyota and they pretty much pronounced it dead due to water damage to the computer and possibly the wire harness...unless I want to pay up to $8000 to fix my 2010 vehicle! Coastal was well aware of the water leak as they had caused it and then incompetently put a band aid on it and now they are denying any responsibility whatsoever and, thanks to their utter incompetence, we are out of a vehicle or any trade in value. Unless your car is disposable, stay away from this place! In the process to take them to small claims. BEWARE!!!

He has been extremely mean at me and kept lying to people even in the public space. 1. I made the appointment at 8am. You agreed the appointment. But you made me wait for 30minutes. It is not my mistake to come to your car shop on time. It is your fault to break your appointment. Shameless! 2. My tires have not problem. Multiple car shops, including Honda dealers approved my car. I got the sticker. You forced me to change tires in your shop to get a sticker. You just want to make money. My car had only run 36000miles. The tires have many miles on them. Are you kidding me? 3. You run a shop to make money. But your heart is dirty, so is your money. Try to do the right thing.
