I overheard them offering a drop off for a customer, fixing a minor thing that came up after service was performed for another, and handling multiple walk ins with zero pushback or attitude. I legitimately was shocked. Never have I seen this level of competence and service in an auto shop. I asked if they could service my electric car on future returns and was told it was not a problem, as long as I made an appointment. After all of this, I was back on the road within 45 minutes for only $27 out the door. That's half what my OLD shop charges. Amazing bang for your buck and the respect was top-notch. Someone came over with me to take a look and they helped me get the spare changed until a new tire could be ordered. They did not need to stop their work to help me, especially when I was not even parked in their lot. it says a lot about them!! most recently, winter storms and ice caused major damage to my hybrid vehicle's battery and additionally, AAA caused extra damage when I called for a jump, and they handled it incorrectly. Fountain Street accepted a tow on a Friday during this time when they had 0 appointments available for 3 weeks. Anthony was able to get my battery replaced, and they kept my vehicle over the weekend so they could address the electrical issues that were not there before the battery was dead/AAA caused damage. I had my car back that Wednesday. I am a single female living close by in Manayunk for the last 10 years, and I am disappointed to have ever used any other shop. I will absolutely be switching to regular service with these guys. They are kind, laid back, and in my case, made me feel confident they could handle the issues rather than causing me more stress over the unknown. He hopped out, spilled an entire soda, and said, "Don't worry, that happens." Sir. SIR. Why is that your greeting?? He opened my hood, nodded like he was understanding the secrets of the universe, then poked a totally random part and said, "Yep, that's your problem." When I asked what the problem was, he said and I quote, "Mechanic stuff." Thirty minutes later my car was making a new sound I can only describe as "haunted dishwasher screaming into the void." I asked him if that was normal and he said, "Cars make noises." Then he charged me an amount of money so offensive I think it might be a hate crime against my bank account. He drove away.
