Update: 11-14-2019…read more It is important to recognize, immediately, when a service provider extends themselves to correct an issue such as the one described below. Too often we dismiss the good people do and focus instead, on exclusively the negative. This update should be perceived quite positively. Two weeks after the initial posting of this review [below], yet another 'fee discrepancy' was discovered (credit card bill) and served as motivation for my calling the owner to reconcile what I felt was a growing list of concerns. Describing a series of events to the owner, from my initial screening to the date of service, I expressed my frustration and unhappiness with several items. Mr. Moore listened (yes without interrupting, rather unusual these days) and detailed, point-by-point, the service points (as described) not meeting his company's standards. His reflections were followed with a sincere apology and statement of action to resolve my concerns. This was more than satisfactory. What was not expected however was a written apology attached to a refund check in the mail. It was sincere, frank and much appreciated. So what this means is this .. in about two years my packaged outside heat pump will need replacing. His firm will be one of three on my list invited to bid for the opportunity. They earned the right to be on the list. What got him to that point was a reasonably competitive price point, efficient and knowledgeable service and most importantly .. a determination to admit and rectify unsatisfactory performance; the latter is exceedingly rare and those needing HVAC service should be aware of this. So my D+ grade gets changed to a B+. The firm would have received an A+ initially, had not all of the issues [below] occurred. They are certainly worthy of a call from you for your HVAC needs. My advice [below] still holds .. take quality notes during pre-service discussions to ensure there are no lapses in communication. ******************************************************************************** I'm rather reluctant to fully voice my opinion .. even though there's room to do do so. So, I'll keep it general. Technician was on time, well-equipped and prompt in service delivery. Two stars instead of four or five because the bill was different from details obtained two weeks ago when I was calling various HVAC vendors, comparing charges. So I paid, but not terribly happy about the cost difference. And I don't believe there was any real misunderstanding on my part. Paper doesn't lie. When considering these folks, my recommendation would be to not trust anything you hear over the phone but rather, get quotes in writing, no matter how small the service. Quotes should include a detailed cost of items used and labor; do not accept any generalities. Quotes should also include the name of the person you spoke with. As it relates to Absolute Climate Control, do not, under any circumstances, assume the notes you carefully took in a phone conversation two weeks ago to be consistent with what you will be seeing on your bill. But otherwise, my final grade is ... "D+".
