    Chicken corn soup
    May M.

My friends and I always come here after a night out. As usual, they never disappoint our Chinese food cravings. Service: We didn't have to wait to be seated. We were there right before it got busy when all late-night party goers came. It only took maybe 10 minutes before our delicious food was served. Food: Chicken corn soup- perfect appy for an alcohol-filled stomach. It has bits of chicken meat, corn, and some shreds of eggs. Beef Gailan- bite-size tender beef meat and half-cooked gailan veggie. Garlic Dry Pork Ribs- The only dish that I didn't appreciate much was this one. It was very dry and there was more breading and less meat. Sweet Shrimp and peaches- deep-fried battered coated shrimp with sweet sauce and peaches. It was almost like a dessert which I Iove after a sumptuous meal. And lastly, a bucket of rice to eat with all the meat. Total: $68 for everything. Not bad at all!

Got the "Dinner for 1" combo delivered. Came with ginger beef, 2 chicken balls, and white rice. Kinda felt like the rice was the best part. The beef pieces were small and chicken balls were mostly dough. Overall food was just okay, but probably not worth the cost + delivery fees. The food was well packaged and arrived warm so that's a plus!

You already know about All Happy so let's keep this short and sweet. Open every day of the week (typical Chinese style) and the only place, that I know of, in Edmonton that is open till 4am! The perfect spot to go to after your late night rave/clubbing/drinking festivities. I haven't been to All Happy in years (probably high school was my last time) so I was pleasantly surprised when we came here for some late night eats. The space is much bigger as they have doubled their capacity, overtaking the restaurant next door (RIP, that place was legit). The place was bumpin' and there was a constant flow of people coming in to grab their takeout. We ordered a couple dishes: - Singapore style fried vermicelli ($9.99) - good but they overdid it with the curry powder. - Ha gow ($4.99) - dim sum at 2am, how can you ever go wrong? Ha gow is a must. - Sui mai ($4.99) - obviously you need to order sui mai if you've already ordered ha gow. They go hand in hand. It's called tradition, don't mess with it. - Pi dan jouk ($4.99) - nothing like a good bowl of jouk when it's cold outside. Pi dan (century old eggs) gives it a nice boost of flavour. Simple but delicious. - Lo mai gai ($4.99) - my sis is too quick. You get three sticky rices, not two as in the picture. Decent. It must be nice having the whole late night Edmonton market to yourself. All Happy must be absolutely killing it at night. Technically, hot pot is open but that's not even a real late night option. Fast service, cheap prices and good eats. You know you waaaaaaaaaaaant it.

    Black Beans Sauce Shrimp

Got into Edmonton fairly late, with limited amount of eateries opened; we braved this restaurant for a much needed meal. My friends and I ordered for room temperature water with lemon and what we got, was all but that. Out meals consisted of an order of the black bean sauce shrimp, 2 orders of spicy house special fry rice, sweet/ sour pork w/ rice & ginger beef. Personally, me and my partner were famished from our 4.5 hours drive to Edmonton and we enjoyed our meal. The black bean sauce shrimp was especially salty, but that's my first time tasting the dish so I can't speak on what to expect with it. Mind you, we didn't drink the water supplied or made use of the lemon supplied, as they looked like they were starting to go bad. My friend and his wife on the other hand didn't enjoy the meal, citing the ginger beef was overly heavy on the batter/ deeply sauced up, as with the pork served with the white rice. Overall, the service was good. We got seated promptly and our food came out almost immediately after ordering; left everyone surprised cause we were told it'd take the kitchen a while due to the busy nighttime rush. That was appreciated, definitely didn't go unnoticed. I can't speak for what your experience might entail but to the best of my ability I have described mine, as listed above. Are you feeling adventurous? And just how hungry are you??

Ive been coming to all happy for years to me this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Edmonton. You definitely have to try their Peach shrimp I absolutely love their Ginger Beef and wor wonton soup definitely a must-try this place is open late night with top-quality food. yes it is in a sketchy neighbourhood but the service and top quality food make you forget all about it. it's a few blocks north of Rogers Place so definitely a good place to go after a hockey game.

We usually go with the combination dinners which include wonton soup, spring rolls, chicken, fried rice, and two entrées. We went to eat in person this week, and the service was excellent. We went on a Thursday so the ambiance was quite quiet but it's a nice clean space with very friendly staff and the food is even better fresh from the kitchen. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the authentic Chinese food.

He had heart balloons and flowers for our table which made the occasion even more special. The food is fabulous, the peaches and shrimp dish is so good as well as the beef with Gai lan and the tofu assorted vegetable hot pot. Noodles and desserts are great as well! We have tried so many dishes here it is hard to name them all. This restaurant is also on SkipTheDishes and with my referral, my office has ordered on several occasions. Everyone was very happy with their lunch choices! Excellent food and service, prices are very reasonable and if this restaurant was closer to my home, we would be eating her all the time!

Huge change from the dark paint and warehouse styling from the previous AYCE sushi place. They have divided the space nicely including a large private room. You can actually park your vehicle safely in their free lot now, for up to 2 hours. Security is watching and even checks in with you when you park. As for the food, in my experience it's all been great! The menu is a funny combo of different cuisines, definitely befitting the name "bistro". There are a variety of asian dishes (Chinese, Japanese, Thai), HK-style foods and very traditional western cuisine like beef bourguignon. That one intrigues me, super old school and looks really good. There are also some set menus that come with drinks. It's one of the few places I feel spoiled for interesting selection, hard to make a choice. Chinatown Dining Week has brought me back here three times in as many weeks, got hooked by the beef and sour veg steamed in a lotus wrap. This visit my husband got the gyukatsu set, which was really good if you can live with slightly sweet Glico-style curry. The omurice was perfect. Their katsu particularly is really, really good, better than your average schnitzel, and much cheaper! Have been back a few times and even brought the extended family. There's something for everyone! Everything we've tried has been tasty, fresh and a generous portion. Previously we tried the bistro premium fried rice which had scallops and tobiko, delicious. My food-restricted niece tried the crispy shrimp appy, which were really tasty and more like prawn-size. Not sure she got many back after offering to share with the table. Ah Chinatown. Been coming here my whole life but always get the side-eye, usually from the owner, until ordering. The experience wouldn't be the same without it. The other staff were more genuinely friendly and happy the food was enjoyed. One01Bistro is officially a new family favourite, especially before events at Rogers Place. Psst also... cheap beer.

We quickly grabbed a new set where multiple sets were ready for distribution when neccessary. As Asians, we generally wash all of our bowls and utensils prior using as our practice with hot water or tea (depending on what you ask for). Food - 4/5. The chicken casserole was flavourful, just a lot of bones. The beef was very soft and tender. The sweet and sour pork chops had a thick tangy sauce but good that it had a light batter around the meat, which kept the meat moist. The chicken is the typical dish you can get at most Chinese restaurants. It was interesting that it actually sat in a soy sauce base. The ginger sauce is missing the typical green onions. However, it was seasoned quite well. I didn't take a picture of dessert though. It was red bean with glutinous rice sweet soup. I actually quite enjoyed it. Overall: 3.5/5.
