Ray Smith's team was able to remove several large pepper trees, 13+ slash pines (4 of which were extremely large and VERY close to our house/pool cage), and an over abudance of florida underbrush. They cleared all of this while having to avoid 4 queen palms that we wanted to keep. The entire staff was always pleasant and never gave me a hard time even with ALL the questions and requests that we had. My husband and I would highly recommend this company for any land clearing jobs. Pros: Everyone from the Owner down to the front office lady is very friendly and helpful. Highly knowledgeable crew with 20+ years experience. Reasonably priced. Have connections for other services (ex: sod installation). Cons: Not the best with punctuality(for exmple took quite awhile for them to come out and give an intial quote but I still gave them 5 stars because I was so impressed with their work)

We hired Nick's company to remove a damaged heritage live oak tree from our property. We live out…read moreof state and can not thank him enough for his hard work and fierce tenacity. Not being in the area full time, we were so happy to find Nick. He wrote up the tree risk assessment, provided us with a bid, filled out the mandatory paperwork with the county (due to protected heritage tree issues), applied for the permit and worked with the county above and beyond what I feel the average company would have. This was not an easy case and Nick never lost interest or the desire to get this tree cut down for us. The tree itself was a multi trunked live oak tree with a very large canopy and was around 65 feet tall. On one side was our house and the other side of the tree was growing directly into power lines. His expertise and grade A equipment enabled him to do the job safely and efficiently. He ground all the stumps down well below ground level and actually left the work area in better condition than when he arrived. I cannot say enough good things about Florida Tree and Ground Maintenance. If you find yourself in need of an arborist, call Nick first. He will be the last call you have to make. In today's day and age of half-assed businesses who only want to cut corners and take your money, Nick will pleasantly surprise you. That's not how he operates and will go the extra mile for you. He does what he says he will do and just gets stuff done. Period. Even better, he gets it done right and as promised.

FYI ... Do not assume. Biggest issue I have is their huge equipment is sitting on my cleared lot for going on two weeks now and the other company I hired to grade and sod can not start until he moves it. Grrrrrr I have called repeatedly and sent an email and they still have not moved this monstrosity, so my project is on hold at his mercy. NOT RIGHT!!! My educated guess is he doesn't have equipment to haul it himself and wants to wait and pay one transport fee to move it to the next job, when and if he gets a job where he needs it.
