The man in the truck said he wasn't there to say hello he was coming to remove my termite bait traps. I was shocked. He said they had been trying to call me for my renewal but I was avoiding them so they were there to remove my traps. Wow. They have reached me every quarter for a few years and charged my credit card every time without problem. But for some reason they couldn't reach me for termite. Not true. The owner Steve was so rude. Now I have purchased my own traps so as they pick up their trap I will drop the same plastic trap back in its place. In other words if this happens to you, go online and buy your own very inexpensive traps. Pretty crazy.

I've been a customer for over 5-years and have made many donations as well as many purchases. I intended to buy a pallet of flooring; I gave my credit card to the cashier to pay for the flooring; I made a hasty decision because I was leaving town in a few days, then I changed my mind. On Sunday, the following day the stored was closed, I made contact with one of the stores workers by the name of Jerome. I told him I decided not to buy the flooring and requested my credit card be credited back to me for the $1980. On Monday I called and asked if I needed to bring my card to the store for the 1980 refund. I spoke to the Manager by the name of Jasmine; she informed me that they don't give refunds. Of course, I thought that was ridicules because I hadn't even removed anything from the store and proceeded to call the credit card company and file a claim for the $1980 to be refunded. Credit One gave me a temporary refund, I left town a few days later, when I returned, I still didn't think there was a problem until May 6, 2026, the day my bank reversed the credit claim, and I owed my creditor $1980. Since then, I've made attempt after another trying to recover those funds and I have not been successful. At this time my credit account is past due, and I refuse to pay for something I did not receive. The Green project sold the flooring to someone else. The manager Jasmine told my creditor that I had picked up the flooring and also told them there was a large, posted sign stating, "no refund policy", but this is not true, there was no sign at all posted. The Green Project knows very well I did not pick up the flooring, and they should've simply refunded my card. Basically, this is theft.

From these super economical finds, I was able to fabricate a garden gate, using the faucet as a creative spin on a traditional doorknob or latch. I love it. Recently, I eye spied, a partially used tub of tile adhesive and several random tiles. They'd be the perfect solution with someone with a tiny bathroom or counter top that needed sprucing up. You can find doors, windows, screen, light fixtures, tiles, wood, paint, and a whole host of parts that you can't pick up at any big box store. Think of the green project like a thrift store for your house or creative endeavor. Be patient and diligent, as it can be hit or miss.

This year, they must have a contest going with their termite employees because in a one month period, I have had over a dozen emails, as many texts and phone calls from multiple employees trying to set up my annual inspection. one actually showed up unannounced and would not take no for an answer. Finally, the truth came out. they want to sell you thousands of dollars of additional service. the manager will not speak to me or return my calls. We noticed tiny poppy seed size bugs on our sheets... off to the urgent care! Complete body lice treatment head to soles of feet with cream for 14 hours. Fog the upstairs with permethrin. Pay hundreds to have linens and furniture covers laundered. Ran tons of loads of clothing laundry. Then we call Orkin. It's a Sunday. Orkin customer service - sure thing we can get someone there tomorrow first thing in the morning and have you sorted same day. Many of our trucks carry supplies to do treatments right after inspection. Great. Paid $100+ on the phone = the fee for inspection. The next morning at 8am the inspector arrives. We collected 40 of the now dead insects (from our treatment), put them in a ziploc and hand them to him. They are Poppy seed size and visible to the naked eye to be round with little legs. There is one we find on my wife's pillow and then dozens we find on the window sills opposite side of the room. Inspector says "I've never seen these before... I'll need to bring them to the lab right away and look under a microscope." That all before 9am. Then... radio silence the whole day. So I call 3 times to get a status update. Each time customer service assured me we'd have an answer - even put me on hold to call the office and the specific inspector. At 2pm he tells the customer service to tell me that he has been out all day and is getting back to the office late but will have answers for me in an hour. Of course, he doesn't call back. Tuesday morning our window sills are coated with these bugs. I call Orkin again and they say they will elevate this to the manager of the Orkin branch in harahan. They also tell me that if the bugs are lice they can't help us. According to this 10 year in the field Orkin veteran, they don't treat lice. Then I get the attached text message FINALLY from the inspector. See photo. FYI I took a photo of the bag before handing it to the inspector. Read his analysis and look at the photo for yourself. 2 insects in the bag and the rest appears to be dirt? LOL. No phone call. This is the value the customer gets of paying more than $100 for an Orkin inspection. So I do a little online research... why so many of these creatures on the window sill? Sure enough bird nests can be vectors. I go outside my room and on the porch in the wall is a European starling bird nest. I get up on a ladder and there are literally thousands of these awful bugs on the exterior wall around the hole the bird created. People are usually under duress when their home is infested. What do you, the reader, think of this customer service and value for payment received from Orkin?
