The winter storms damaged many trees on our 6-acre property. With my chainsaw and the help of my son and grandson, we bucked up the downed trees. However, there were many trees that were hung up and were too dangerous for me to take down on my own. Friends recommended All Phase Land Clearing. Troy stopped by for an assessment. The challenge was to maintain our forest screening while mitigating the risk of wildfire and encouraging healthy growth. Troy estimated that the job would take about 4 days. The earliest start date available was several months out. We signed on. I requested proof of insurance and the certificates were promptly emailed to me. The start date was delayed one week due to equipment failure. When the crew did arrive, I gave a brief review of my expectations. They then lost no time in getting down to work. Four days later I was amazed at the transformation of our overgrown forest. Younger trees now basked in the sunlight, "widow makers" had been cut down, and a sprinkling of fresh wood chips now covered our meandering paths. There was one mishap. I had a tree hanging over my house, my garage, my power lines, my neighbors fence (had it fallen badly it could have ruined their deck), and worst of all it had recently been attacked by beetles and was all orange (thankfully not too far gone). We recently hired All Phase Land Clearing to create defensible space around a summer cabin in the Emigrant Gap area, and we have only positive things to say about them. We had many dead and dying trees, as well as trees too close together or close to structures to be fire safe. There was also a lot of understory growth and debris on the ground needing removal. Additionally, the terrain was too rocky and uneven to bring in a masticator, which meant everything had to be hand cleared and chipped. In all, it was about 3 acres needing to be cleaned up. We had gotten bids from multiple tree and brush clearing outfits, ranging from the bigger companies that do large, commercial jobs to the 'two guys with chainsaws' types. All Phase Land Clearing was, for us, the obvious choice. The quote we received was very reasonable for the amount of clearing we needed to have done, and they did everything you'd hope for when hiring anyone - give an honest and accurate bid, make communication easy, show up when they say they will, and perform the work as promised to an excellent standard.
