This guy is running a scam. He hires sub contractors who have no idea what they are doing. He probably has not got off the couch in 30 years. Larry and his team did a great job on our backyard. I gave him a tight deadline and he was able to complete the project with a few days to spare (which is essentially unheard of these days). He was extremely responsive to all my calls and questions and has followed up even once the project was complete. We are very happy with his work and would not hesitate to use this company for our next project. read more

I recently hired Larry to replace my existing front stairs, wall and landing. He sent me to an address in Westwood to look at a job he had done, the same set up as mine. I liked what I saw and I said I want the same stone and set up. The owner told me make sure you work with Peter, I asked Larry about Peter he is not with me he moved to New Hampshire I have a better guy his name is Sebastion. I asked him if he was insured and licensed, YES I am . He was scheduled for a 6/14 start date but showed up 3 weeks later. I still did not receive his insurance or license. I made sure he had it when he came. His comment is I don't have a license but I have insurance. Why doesn't he have a license because he is sub contracts everything. I am calling the state to find out why. He gives me a workmans comp insurance policy , none of these people are his employees. Where is the liability insurance. I am still waiting for it. His comment is no one ever asks for the insurance. Really Larry. We agreed on replace my existing foot print of 6 stairs , landing and wall the same as before. He never gave me plans . I did not think much of because it was going to be the same that I had. He never took out a measuring tape, when he looked at the job. He said I have 30 years experience I know what I am doing. The bottom line is, he changed the foot print without my permission . My stairs look like a Pyramid that belong in a back yard not in a Split Ranch, He added two more stairs and wanted me to pay for it. He had to buy more bricks because he calculated incorrectly and told me he would not charge me. Even though it was his error. I am not happy with the job. I let him know. His subcontractors do not speak english. When the stairs were finished they left an excessive amount of sand on the stairs. While they were getting their tools together I took my hose and washed off the sand. They were looking at me and could have taken the hose away from me and said NO don't do that. Larry comes the next day to pick up the balance that is due for the job. I told him what happened with the hose, I saw bubbles. He made no comment. I never received instructions of how to take care of my stairs or new pavers, even after I told Larry what happened. One of his employees added a plastic kick plate below my front door, while installing he put it down on the hot pavers and the plastic rubbed off on my new pavers. He told me it is my fault . He never looked at the job to make sure everything was done correct. He hired a dumpster for the debris, after he was paid the dumpster company came and removed it. It left 4 deep gouges on my driveway, which now need to be redone. Larry refuses to pay me the $ 200.00 for the repairs . He refused to look at the damage and takes no responsibility DO Not HIRE Larry Westgate unless you want to be lied and told my day is over I can't talk now. read more

My wife and I are delighted with end result and are looking forward to many years of enjoyment. IF I could give Larry Westgate 0 stars I would... I had him put in a retaining wall in my back yard with steps to go into a fire pit area. He got his $15,000 and I got an unlevel, unsafe, cheep wall. The steps have NEVER been used because they are unsafe. The top stones move because they are not secured to the stone underneath. His worker had put a bunch of sand type material all over the spaces behind and in between the top stone for the steps-I do not know what this material is or what it was for but most of it washed away with the rain, if you look at the steps in the photo you can see it behind the stone. It looks like a chunky/dirt material but can be wiped away. The steps are also spaced away from the back wall and hang over too much so if you did try to use them the stone would flip and you would fall and get hurt. they are completely unsafe. The wall is also not properly installed and is unlevel. His worker put down a bunch of blue stone and stacked the stones on top of it (see pictures) The first stone is supposed to be in the ground for support... not simply stacked on top of blue stone... He said the stone we got was high end and of good quality.. it in fact is cheap stone I could purchase myself at Home Depot and looks like it would crumble if touched in some areas... Larry's employees also broke the side gait to my yard and never fixed it... His worker also dug deeper then they were supposed to and cut an electrical wire to my sheds- they "attempted" to fix this (not an electrician or qualified person- his worker bought a kit and tried to fix it himself). read more

Once A job is complete you will not get him back to fix poor workmanship. Larry is very defensive and unprofessional. I do not recommend.

We had work done by All Phases Renovations in the fall of 2019. I was unsatisfied with the whole process with Larry. In the beginning we had the constant issue of being told someone was coming to start the work and no one would show up or call to let us know they were no longer coming, that went on for almost 2.5 weeks and Larry already had more than 80% of the total price paid for... things were not done in the layout we had planned with Larry - but I blame that issue on myself because we discussed the layout of our walls with him and did not get a drawing or anything from him of what we had planned for his workers to go off of. We asked him if he does the work or if he subcontracts. Larry told us he had a crew of over 15 guys ready to go.. he actually subcontracts and the first guy we got ended up fired. He was awful and spent more time sitting in his truck smoking weed outside my house then actually working. Always showed up late and left early, he and the 2 workers with him got almost nothing done after a couple weeks. The second company was a really nice guy trying to fix all the first guys mistakes and finish my walls. He straight out told my husband and I what a sleezball Larry was. And went into alot of detail and Larry's workers agreed with everything. Alot of my property was destroyed and nothing truly rectified .. our side fence/gate was broken when machinery was brought into my back yard. They never fixed it, they left a post in my front yard I assume to replace what they broke but not the other fence pieces that were destroyed. I shouldn't have to fix this myself or buy the replacement pieces. The electricity to my sheds was cut because the wrong place was dug, Larry said he'd have an electrician fix it but his workers and subcontractor told me he wasn't getting an electrician and was trying to pay any of them to fix it. I still have no electricity to my sheds it was not properly fixed by the second subcontractor. A tree by the first guy was broken in half on purpose because he thought we wanted it removed, Larry had the new subcontractor cut the tree down (it was not a huge tree but required him to climb the tree to cut it down in pieces). I now have a stump in my yard that I am responsible for removing apparently, along with a piece of the retaining wall they were riping out and replacing because apparently that wasn't their responsibility to remove. They left a HUGE pile of dirt, stone, and debris from other customers projects in my driveway going onto the street for over a month and when they finally removed it they tore part of my driveway up so now I have a huge chunk missing, that people have tripped in and was never fixed. The second subcontractor was supposed to come back and fix this but no one ever came back. Even after multiple phone and text conversations, he told us "oh I'll be there next Thursday" or in a couple days, ohh I'll be there "tomorrow" and so on and so on...and he would just be a noshow... Then winter came and it was because of winter. At one point the second subcontractor told us we were not getting stairs into our fire pit because Larry said it was just walls, when I addressed this with Larry he said that the steps were in "phase 2" of our back yard makeover... we agreed to have the work we were having done that time and that's it apparently he had all these ideas and thought we were going to do additional contracts with him in phases... I have no idea where he got that idea. He then said we could pay for additional stone and that he would not charge extra for the work to be done (apparently every job the subcontractor did with Larry last year he pulled this he told my husband and I. And apparently most people paid the extra money). I told him absolutely not... We discussed this and this is what we planned plus our contract stated everything we needed for stone I was not buying more stone. All other materials he wrote were to be supplied by him, so he should have to pay for more if he didn't order enough because this was planned for. In the end the subcontractor made it work so there was stone for steps but they are not the stairs we had originally planned so I am not happy with them but what am I supposed to do... The last time we contacted Larry because it was spring and we now found multiple top pieces of our retaining walls and steps were not glued down, he said when Covid is over... But yet I see him posting jobs. Larry never even saw the walls after they were completed, didn't come to see if all the issues we had were taken care if. Larry doesn't care how shitty our experience was or what was done to our yard.. He got alot of money out of us and by the end I was just ready for it all to be over. I recommend people do adequate research before highing Larry. I should have done more myself.. live and learn I guess. read more
