WARNING!! Nathan…read moreBallard does NOT own a working tow truck! I called Nathan for a tow into Bloomfield. We agreed upon a price and he collected the key to the vehicle. The vehicle was being towed to a location I was no longer at and I am from out of state, so I agreed to paying via PayPal before the tow. The next morning I woke up to a text from Nathan saying he had cut his finger trying to jump my starter and he had to leave my vehicle on the road with the key in the vehicle and it would just be cheaper to have my family that was meeting me, rent a dolly and tow it back home myself. When I requested a refund if he wasn't going to tow it, he told me to suck his d!&*. Hours later Nathan said he now had my vehicle and would be arriving in and hour and a half. After waiting 2 1/2 hours we just went to where my vehicle broke down. My vehicle was still there but my key was not with the car. It is a push button start and the vehicle tells you if the key is near it or not. It was definitely not there. I messaged Nathan back demanding my key and he replied that he was actually now coming to get my vehicle and that I owe him additional money for the tow. At this point I called the local sheriff's department and reported the situation. When they called him he again claimed to have left the key inside the gas door. Then for the rest of the night Nathan preceded to message me demanding another $100 to get my key back. The call from the police definitely did the trick though. The next morning when we arrived with the new tow company the key was now magically with the vehicle. Nathan was absolutely vulgar with myself and my cousin who was also messaging him. Nathan later blamed our harassment as his excuse for abandoning the tow. Another time he blames the storm Saturday night. (I called him Saturday morning for the tow, 16 hours before the storm started) this lasted all day Saturday and Sunday. The new tow company collected my vehicle Monday morning. Nathan was incredibly inappropriate and vulgar, agreed to a service he doesn't even have the equipment to perform, and later tried to hold my key ransom for more money. An absolutely hellish experience of him trying to take advantage of someone from out of state. I'm actually grateful now that Nathan doesn't actually have a tow truck, because there's no telling what would be of my vehicle had he actually been able to move it. The Stoddard county sheriff's department did an amazing job and I now have my vehicle and key in possession. My PayPal payment dispute will be resolved soon. UPDATE: JUNE 3 PAYPAL REFUNDED ME MY MONEY TODAY. I HEED WARNING TO ANYBODY REQUESTING A TOW SERVICE TO AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!

They keept the truck for many weeks for them to do this. They have issues breaking down the price for the work. Instead they give a number with no reason why. I also was asked about replacing the down pipe and was quoted over $1000 to replace a 14" long, 4" pipe.

My Toyota sedan was making a whirring noise whenever I pressed the gas pedal. My father checked it…read morefor me and was sure it was a muffler/exhaust issue but told me to have it checked to be sure. So I took it to Campus Auto. That was a mistake I will not make again. I told them what was going on as best I could explain and specifically mentioned the muffler/exhaust. They checked it over (supposedly) and less than 15 minutes later told me I had a strut rubbing my right rear tire. I had never even heard of this and couldn't see how it would even be possible unless the strut was badly damaged. They quoted me just under $1,000 cash price (over $1,000 card) to "fix" it. I then asked them about the exhaust/muffler and they said they don't do exhaust work--but they advertise as full service auto repair? Then they charged me $75 just for the diagnostic--which I understand--but I don't believe they actually "diagnosed" anything (which of course I cannot prove). My father said to get a second opinion so I got a referral and took it to another mechanic. Lo and behold, he said it needed a new muffler and quoted me a very fair price. I am taking it to him next week. As a favor, he checked the struts and said they looked to be in order. Bottom line, steer clear of Campus Auto. I think they were trying to pull a fast one on me to make a quick grand.

The call lasted less than two minutes, but it was enough to decide I'll never go back. The staff member, Roger, interrupted me and said in a mocking tone, "OUUU OUU OUUUU! Let's take it slow here. You are talking wayyy too fast and your English is sloppy." Then he used an analogy to show his frustration. That level of rudeness is completely unacceptable from anyone representing a business. I was polite and just trying to explain my car issue. Instead of patience or professionalism, I got attitude and mockery. If that's how they talk to customers, I'd stay away from it.

Beware! The owner of this company's girlfriend "Sarah Nicole Holshouser" has been caught driving repoed vehicles for her personal use in Scott City, Missouri. She was caught driving the repoed Black Land Rover with Chrysler 300 Plates on it. You can look her up on Case Net Mo. This week she was involved in a hit and run on a parked car in Jackson, Missouri. She was driving a white Buick, also a "repoed" vehicle without insurance when she rear ended this parked car. She was also using the same plates from the previous incident she was arrested for. This business is driving other people's cars once they repo them for their own personal use before the owner gets them back, or they are turned into the bank!! DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! Dustin arrived and took my tire, found a used one that was the same size at his shop, returned and put it on so I could get my trailer off the highway. He allowed me to keep my trailer at his shop and ordered two new tires that arrived first thing the next morning. I was so stressed out and Dustin got me back on the road so fast.
